If you need an essential item or service that’s not available through emergency relief, ask us about our No Interest Loans (NILS) program. NILS is a community-based initiative that helps people on low incomes (including Centrelink) to buy household items like fridges, laptops, TVs, mattresses and furniture. Loans are available up to $1,500 with NO interest, NO fees and NO charges ever so you pay back exactly what you borrow. To find out more email us on [email protected].

07.01.2022 WHILE the Illlawarra area has been spared of bushfires this summer, the threat remains real, and authorities advise now is a good time to clear your property of... fallen leaves, twigs and debris ahead of expected soaring temperatures. To assist residents with cleaning their properties of bushfire fuel, Wollongong City Council is providing free green waste drop off points this weekend and the next at Helensburgh, Scarborough and Corrimal.
