25.01.2022 A dog’s coat provides a good insight into their overall health, a shiny coat is a sign of good nutrition and maintenance. If you want to improve your greyhounds coat, a good diet is vital to achieving a thick, shiny coat. bit.ly/GAP-maintaining-a-healthy-coat

25.01.2022 From all of us to you, Merry Christmas and thankyou for being a part of our journey. We can't do it without you.

23.01.2022 *****SPECIAL HOME NEEDED****** We are looking for a home that is prepared to help a cool big (he is VERY tall) guy where you can give him a home, but don't want to take him for a walk or out. Tiny is a great dog in all other aspects, however he freezes on walks so we are on the look out for a home with a decent sized backyard, and one that is prepared to leave him home when you go out. If this sounds like you or you know someone can you please tag them so we can chat with them about him. Besides this quirk, he is a cracker of a happy delightful guy which will make an amazing pet for someone. Thankyou for helping Tiny find his home for xmas as he has been waiting a very long time Contact us for more details.

21.01.2022 Our last lot of kids on the block before Christmas so please share away our trusty village and help find these guys their fureva homes. DECEMBER hounds looking for their forever homes! We know not everyone can adopt - but you can share and make a difference to these guys. For that we thank you. TOMMY: Soft, gentle quiet and the perfect shadow. ... PIRATE: Active guy who needs a daily walk to start the day. PRUDENCE: 2 year old unraced girl. Inquisitive and fun CASPSER: Stunning blue boy that is very lazy. OIMBY: Sweet, kind, gentle and a true gem. Perfect for someone home all day. BLU: Happy and active guy that is the perfect family dog for older children. JESS: Beautiful unraced blue girl that is both kind yet inquisitive. SID: Happy and lazy. Point this guy to the nearest shady tree for the day and you won't see him for dust - or until it's lunch time. DOUGIE: Duggie has a face you either like or not. Blessed with the old fashioned Roman nose, this divine dark fawn guy loves a lounge chair. ROWDY: 38kg of soft gentle teddy bear. Laidback and quiet, Rowdy doesn't need a lot of exercise so a big yard is all he needs. FOSTER HOMES!!!!!!! 20.01.2022 Have you ever watched your dog eat blades of grass and wonder whether there’s anything wrong with them? Rest assured, it’s perfectly normal behaviour. There can be lots of reasons why your dog likes eating grass which have nothing to do with hunger bit.ly/GAP-Why-do-dogs-eat-grass

18.01.2022 With more time up our sleeves than ever, services we would normally outsource have suddenly become our next DIY project. Dog grooming is one of those tasks that we ‘never really had time for’, in fact there’s an entire burgeoning industry based on this very job, with clippers in toe waiting to primp and prep your pet so they can live their best life. bit.ly/GAP-Grooming-your-dog

17.01.2022 You’ve probably heard the term ‘food is medicine’, this is particularly true when it comes to dogs who do not have the gamete of pain medication available that humans do. Just like us dogs experience aches and pains in their body from bouts of tummy upset, joint pain, injury or from existing conditions that put strain on their bodies. bit.ly/GAP_Natural-pain-relief

16.01.2022 There’s no denying that dogs bring love, warmth and joy to a home. But they also bring the outdoors in with them, as well as hair, dirt and often funky smells. The good news is you can have a happy pet and a clean home at the same time. bit.ly/GAP-Keeping-your-home-tidy-with-pets

16.01.2022 Chances are that your greyhound has now become used to the extra attention they’ve been receiving at home, the extra walks and play-time, and perhaps the additional treats that they’ve been spoiled with while owners have been in isolation or working from home. 16.01.2022 A martingale collar keeps dogs safely on-leash without choking or injuring them. The collars consist of two loops, the first looks like a traditional nylon collar which is adjusted to your dog’s neck. The second loop provides control when the leash is attached. bit.ly/GAP_Martingale-collar

14.01.2022 Dog scratching or itching is extremely common and can happen for many reasons. Whether it’s triggered by allergies, certain foods, pollen, skin irritations, or simply boredom, getting to the root of the problem can be a lengthy and frustrating process. bit.ly/GAP-Got-the-itch

13.01.2022 Like breathing or blinking, panting is all part of normal dog behaviour. Dogs pant for many reasons, including when it’s hot, when they’re excited, or even when they’re a little anxious. Sometimes heavy panting can be an indication of an underlying medical condition that needs your attention. bit.ly/GAP_Why-do-dogs-pant

10.01.2022 Just like humans, dogs stomachs are filled with gas that moves around the intestines which can sometimes make gurgling noises. This is a normal bodily function and should not be a cause of alarm, unless you notice bloating, or your dog is showing signs of pain Read more bit.ly/GAP-Knowing-your-dogs-stomach

07.01.2022 The term ‘dog breath’ was created for a good reason dogs’ breath can be unpleasant at the best of times. While there’s no way to make dogs breath smell like roses, there are things you can do to keep bad breath at bay. The most common cause of bad breath is poor oral hygiene as well as tooth and gum disease. Here’s how you can keep your pooches’ mouth in check bit.ly/GAP-Combating-bad-breath

07.01.2022 While chasing things is an enjoyable feeling for your dog, it can become problematic when the targets of this behaviour are inappropriate. As such, it is important that this behaviour is managed and you, as we always say, set your pooch up for success. Read more here bit.ly/GAP-ChaseBehaviour
