25.01.2022 Horses at play in morning mist on the Station. While the Homestead itself might be a little quieter than usual, our working Cattle Station is still a hive of activity. The team is busy with a host of conservation work, exploring new hiking trails, and gearing up for muster time. #BulloRiverStation #NTTourism

24.01.2022 With Territorians able to travel to us from 5th June, we’d like to extend an exclusive offer to NT residents to visit our special patch of the East Kimberley. This is a fantastic chance for locals to experience the rugged beauty of one of NT’s most iconic Cattle Stations, and to bring your kids along for the adventure. Explore Aboriginal rock art and the rich local flora and fauna, cool off in a pristine waterhole, cast a line or cruise the majestic Bullo River, take a guided... horse ride and join the staff for some exhilaration in the cattle yards, or simply lounge at the Homestead pool. Put the kids to bed and dine under a canopy of stars. The options are endless. With a long weekend and school holidays just around the corner, don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in some true outback hospitality. A reminder that this offer is for NT residents only and for this 2020 season. We will be taking direct bookings only. Reserve your dates now by emailing [email protected] or phoning (08) 9168 7375. 23.01.2022 Bullo River Station currently has an exciting opportunity for a new Team Member in the position of Station Chef/ Cook. A key part of the hospitality associated with cattle station life is the hearty meals provided. The Station Chef/Cook is responsible for cooking the meals for employees and contractors who live on, or visit the Station. This includes menu planning within budgets and focusing on local produce where possible. This is a live-in position located at Timber Creek i...n the Northern Territory and includes all food and accommodation. A note that this is a maternity contract position. If this sounds like something that would fascinate and inspire you, please find more information and application information on the following link: https://www.seek.com.au/job/50070522

21.01.2022 New life. A willie wagtail spotted with its chick in the Boab at the Homestead. Just one of the 220 resident and migratory bird species that call Bullo home. #BulloRiverStation #WillieWagtail #NTTourism

20.01.2022 An update on the host of ecological treasures being uncovered by Australian Wildlife Conservancy as they continue to conduct fauna surveys at Bullo River Station.

19.01.2022 The adventure of the wet season. Bullo had 226mm of rain in one day, flooding the creek between the Homestead and Rayner’s Camp, with a boat becoming necessary to ferry staff between the two buildings. While the creek has subsided, the rain has continued, keeping the road under water but still passable. Stunning waterfalls have sprung up along the distant escarpment, fantastic for our billabongs, lakes and falls. #BulloRiverStation #CattleStation #WetSeason

19.01.2022 "Bullo River Station is a working cattle station and, just quietly, it’s hands down one of the most unforgettable experiences you could ever treat yourself to in life (and we’re all about that)." Fantastic to be featured in this stellar list of 'The Most Incredible Farm Stays In Australia.' Find out more on this link...

16.01.2022 To our guests and friends In response to COVID-19 and in particular the Northern Territory’s decision to restrict people movement into the NT, Bullo River Station has suspended all tourism visitation for the time being. Whilst this move is tremendously disappointing for all of us, we support the Government’s decision to act now to protect its vulnerable citizens and communities. It will feel a little bit lonely at the station without our guests, but we will be busy preparing ...for the happy time when we are able to re-open and welcome people back to our special part of the world. Guests with upcoming reservations will be contacted directly by our team in the coming days. We will continue to share our stories of life on the station during the upcoming dry season and encourage you to ‘drop in’ for a virtual chat any time. We would love to hear from you. And it might be useful to know that our colleagues at Voyager Estate in Margaret River, also now closed to the public, are continuing to keep wine cellars stocked across the nation through online sales, and will also be keeping customers and guests entertained with vineyard stories throughout this period if you would like to connect with them. From our home in the outback to yours, we wish you all the very best during this period, and look forward to the time when we can again raise a glass together over the campfire. Good health to you all, Julian and Alexandra Burt

14.01.2022 A deep dive into Bullo and our ground-breaking partnership with Australian Wildlife Conservancy in this enlightening talk with owner Julian Burt and Wildlife Ecologist Dr Eridani Mulder on conservation activities underway at the Station. #BulloRiverStation #AustralianWildlifeConservancy

13.01.2022 The exhilaration of muster-time. Recently the Bullo team undertook the first big muster of the season, rounding up and herding 2000 head of breeder cattle from the paddocks, across the Bullo River, and into the yards. These spectacular photos were taken by our our very own Bullo Tour Guide, Grace Mitchelson. #BulloRiverStation #Muster #NTTourism

11.01.2022 Poolside sunsets. Framed by arching palms and the expanse of the Northern Territory landscape, the Bullo pool is a quiet place to unwind after a day on the Station. We can’t wait to invite you back to our special place soon. #BulloRiverStation #NTTourism

06.01.2022 There’s something special about dining under the expanse of the Northern Territory sky. Station dinners enjoyed under the stars are a must. #BulloRiverStation #NTTourism

04.01.2022 Thrilled to be included in this list from Australian Traveller - 7 of the Best Farm Stays Around Australia. "Pull on your Blundstones and don your Akubra: in between sipping Champagne, swimming in remote waterholes, and discovering Aboriginal rock art, you can whip-crack your way through a day working the land and experiencing station life." #BulloRiverStation #NTTourism

02.01.2022 Crisp morning skies over Bullo. With unseasonably low temperatures of 20 degree maximums, and rain predicted in the coming days, we’re getting ready for some unusual weather for the Dry Season. #BulloRiverStation #DrySeasonRain #NTTourism
