24.01.2022 Need something to do this Sunday??. Jo "Paletta Bull" Gardiner is showing her 'True Colours' this Sunday between 12 noon & 4pm with her works featured in the SALA exhibition at Left Barrel Brewing in Balhannah. Jo told our roaming Bulls FB scribe that "Beer, pizzas and paintings are all available for sale on the day and entry's free! ... I'd Love to see you drop in... & so would the owner, Brad, who was amazing in helping hang all my art last night". 23.01.2022 Jims Final Game - 18th July 2020 The Game on the 18th July was my last game of Baseball, the final curtain I am retiring after fifty-seven years of umpiring Softball and Baseball. My first umpiring game was in 1963 at Camden Oval, (now the home ground of a large soccer club.) between Oaklands Softball Club and Sabers Softball Club.... I wish to thank all of the Bulls for the Hospitality they have extended to me and the way that I have been included in all of the clubs activities over the more than twenty years that I have been with the club. I will never forget the Mens Health day activities and the special dress up matches. And what about the day I was given the use of a Guide Dog to walk me out on to the field. I especially wish to thank the Wandering Bulls for their friendship and the good times that we had on our many trips to the Alice Springs Masters Games. Who could forget the accommodation at Toddys Back Packers or the warm ups to the tune of Living Next Door to Alice. Also, I wish to mention the Gooley family. I have umpired games for the Gooley family over three generations. First was John and his brother David, then Simon umpiring them through their careers and now I have called games for Elisa at the Bulls, at Summer Baseball and at State Training games. I may make a special umpiring appearances for 'special games' and in the meantime look forward to sharing a yarn over a drink watching Bulls Baseball from the sidelines. Thank you everyone. 22.01.2022 Round 5 Sat 11th July. Three games this last Saturday with the middle game being played in some pretty heavy rain at times. Ben "Bull Clock" Cullen made sure the covers were on home plate & the pitching mound to ensure the heavy rain on Thursday and Friday didn't stop us from getting 3 games in on Saturday.... The games were close other than last that ended in a bit of a blow-out.

The action kicks off from 12noon with the annual Bulls Spooners Fancy Dress Game as the warm-up to The Show, the Grand Final.... 12:00pm Spooners Fancy Dress Game - Unbelieva Bulls vs Deplora Bulls (the Bulls 2nd most coveted Game of the Year). What crazy costumes & antics will appear, Who will be miced up, Will we get any insights into a Spooners Game players thinking &, Will we have enough Fum Caps? 17.01.2022 Wondering where Bill Responsa Bull Magoulianos was today, Sat 15th Aug? Well Bill had knee replacement surgery last Monday and has been recuperating since. Looks like all went well and hes got a small scare as a result, see below.... He was discharged today so hope to see him out next week. 15.01.2022 You might know him as "JB - The guy who bakes fresh bread for his team most weekends". What you might not know is that his day job is as an Associate Professor in Maritime Archaeology at Flinders University. As apart of the National Science Week theme of "The Power of the Deep Blue", JB is giving a presentation to the SA branch of the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society on the 18th of August at the Braggs Lecture Theatre at Adelaide Uni, starting at 7pm. It is a free event, however booking are essential (see link in flyer below).

12.01.2022 Bulls Round 8 Sat 1st August results Round 8 (7 played & 1 wash-out) was the Top of the table vs the bottom match-up round and whilst early the games were close, the cream rose to the top ending in runaway results posted for each game. With only 2 games remaining in for the minor rounds, the top 3 teams are secure for finals but each vying for the coveted top spot. ... At the other end of the table, bets are being taken on who will play in the Spooners Game with Unbelieva Bulls going for back to back appearances. New CovidSafe Plans come into effect as of midnight Wed 5th so this Saturday well be back to spectators needing to be seated when consuming alcohol and no self-serve being allowed for the Bull B Que, including no self-adding of condiments to your gourmet snag. Well have the revised posters up to assist in reminding all of the new requirements.

10.01.2022 Bulls Grand Final Day A glorious day greeted the Bulls & supporters for Grand Final Day. The crowd was 'warmed-up' by the annual Spooners Game with both teams getting into the spirit of the game & their costumes.... The Grand Final between Bulls Deep & Sham Bulls was a close affair with Bulls Deep getting any early lead of 3 in the 1st, 4 : 1. Sham Bulls slowly managed to claw back that lead and in the end, won in the 7th, by 1, final score Bulls Deep 9 : Sham Bulls 10. A fitting way to finish the 2020 Bulls games.

The Bull Bar will be open, Bull B Que cooking and for those that ordered wine, it’s arrived and ready for collection. The Semi final should be Live Streamed but don’t use that as an excuse not to get to Bull Park.

06.01.2022 Round 4 Sat 4th July. Sun's Out Gun's Out.... was the motto for this Saturday's games @ Bull Park. After heavy rain on the days before Saturday, it was clear on Saturday with high scoring games the order of the day. 'Gun' hits and plays, including a triple play, by most teams resulted in a total runs tally of 45 for the day. An added bonus was that the toilet renos are almost finished so, no more prota-toilets for The Bulls.

03.01.2022 Unbelieva Bull scenes last Saturday saw the previously winless team of the "Unbelieva Bulls" finally win their 1st game for the season 6-0. Led by Greg Abroe's strong pitching, the team found form with the bats to back their pitcher for a well-deserved win. Almost as Inbelivea Bull was Jack Scheer surviving another game without injuring himself, strange times indeed.
