14.01.2022 Saturday is ANZAC day, a very special day of reflection and commemoration. We encourage you all to consider your own private way of joining in and observing thi...s special day so it does not pass without due reverence. Many members will be joining a growing group whom are observing the day by standing at the top of their driveways at 5:55am for a minute silence at 6am. Musicians have been encouraged to play the ode at that time from their homes. Might we also encourage you to use this opportunity to do a bit of family research. www.ancestry.com.au are offering free access this weekend and there are a number of free nominal roll searches through the war memorial www.awm.gov.au. On many occasions people have expressed surprise when it is explained that relatives are entitled to purchase replica medals and wear them on the right side of their chest. We highly recommend the team at Foxhole Medals in Hobart to assist with research and replica medals. This ANZAC day will be a very unique day of solitude for us all.
