21.01.2022 This research shows there is a connection between COVID19 and an increase in Cyberbullying - both volume and severity. It was published just last week and conducted worldwide, covering dozens of countries and hundreds of organizations. The lockdown may provide some form of relief from in-person victimization and bullying. For many, and what could be more troubling, is that same harassment has shifted and even increased online.... 19.01.2022 A few days ago it would of been Princess Diana’s 59th birthday and I love this message posted by @allontheboard Diana was a heart centred leader. She was authentic, kind and challenged the status quo. When I think about true upstanders and change makers Diana always comes to front of mind. So as you approach a new week ask yourself how can you be a bit more kind, compassionate and lead with the heart #upstanders
18.01.2022 Bullying and discrimination Bullying may also be discrimination if it is because of your age, sex, pregnancy, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or certain other reasons. Sexual harassment and racial hatred are also against the law. For more information and helplines visit :... https://bullyology.com/resources/helplines/
18.01.2022 WHY DOGS LIVE LESS THAN HUMAN Here's the surprising answer of a 6 year old child. Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfho...und named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs' lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, I know why. Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live. He said, People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right? The six-year-old continued, Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like: When your loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Be faithful. Never pretend to be something you’re not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently. That's the secret of happiness that we can learn from a good dog.
17.01.2022 Currently been doing a piece of work around restorative practice and child trauma. Often when we see, hear and get told about bullying we often default to hate, punish and write off the bully. In a school environment there are many opportunities to support, nature, love and rehabilitate the child by understanding the driving factors behind behaviours which in a personal observation can be a cry for help. By doing the work to nurture the child you will be doing the individua...l and society a massive service. A childhood bully has potential to develop into adult workplace bully or domestic violence perpetrator. Bullying can also be learnt behaviour that need support to unlearn. I think this picture is a good representation of what might be underneath the visible surface. So before you label someone a problem child ask the question - Why? What’s going on for them? #bullying #restorativepractices #childhood #parents #teachers #education #antibullying

13.01.2022 Data data data..... myself and Elisa Choy () have had so many conversations about Bullying & Harassment and the topic of improving workplace culture. And its VERY powerful to see the data comparison to 2018 and unfortunately it confirms my current work and understanding ... it’s not improving!! We are at the cutting edge of a revolution and what I believe we need is to build a ‘Generation of Upstanders’... We need to move people from bystander to upstanders and give them the fundamental tools to do so.. This data is the driver of my work and the reason I get out of bed and challenge the status quo each and every day Take a look at the data and ask your self.. Are you part of the problem or solution? Are you an Upstander or Bystander? #upstandermovement

07.01.2022 YAY Humans Forgot how much I love face to face work and how much I ADORE wearing PPE and being on a construction site It’s my JAM (believe it or not)!! ... A lot of female speakers don’t feel comfortable in this type of environment, but to be honest it’s one of my favourite. It’s where you capture the biggest transformation, shift in perspective and break ancient stigmas. I spent 3.5 years on an Oil&Gas project running culture change programs it was one of the best and most challenging experiences of my life. It shaped my work today and I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have presented since and the impact it has allowed me to have. 02.01.2022 Edit: to answer the many messages... this lady is Molly Mae. She was a contestant in the programme Love Island. Earlier this year the presenter of the very same... show took her own life due to similar behaviour from some of the public and yet here we are witnessing it happening again. Let’s hope Molly Mae isn't seeing this!! ------ What happened to #bekind?! People, businesses and institutions need to be held accountable for their behaviour and comments! Shared from another source... So, I’m aware the Daily Mail likes to report anything and everything in their celebrity Column.. and I have noticed since Caroline Flack took her own life.. they have really toned down their criticism in the articles after the whole ‘be kind’ thing.. but how the hell can they allow comments like this from the public.. do they not realise this is the one of the reasons that people take their own lives? The daily mail are responsible for allowing these comments to be posted.. I have (in the past) made flippant comments on social media about celebrity appearances, outfits, etc but since Caroline flack died it’s really made me realise that comments affects people’s lives!! Look at these comments... absolutely disgusting! I won’t be reading the Daily mail ever again Cos this is really upsetting. #Boycott #dailymail #share!
