22.01.2022 On November 13 - 14 see , written and directed by Cairns playwright Amber Grossmann. Knowing Me explores the 'new normal' in a world ravaged by COVID-19, and the effects of social isolation and loneliness on Queensland's Youth. It is performed by seven of the region's up and coming young creatives, who have been working for the past three months under the Young Creative's Mentorship Program.

The revamped QASP, designed in ...consultation with the arts sector, will now be available as quick response funding rounds, with up to $30,000 for sole-funded initiatives, and up to $60,000 for projects with co-contribution from the applicant, or other funding source. QASP now has a new stream to support social impact projects. 18.01.2022 As announced on 1 October Arts Queensland is seeking Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals living in all parts of Queen...sland, who have connection to and knowledge of First Nations arts and cultures, and creative industries to form a First Nations Arts and Cultures Panel. The First Nations Arts and Cultures Panel will provide expert advice and feedback to support development of programs and strategies that contribute to building sustainable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts industries. Youth And Arts Pathways recognises the value of young people as contributors and facilitators in the arts and cultural sector. This fund will provide arts and cultural organisations with up to $80,000 to support young people to develop professional arts careers, build work experience or undertake training, workshops, placements or practical and technical skills development activities. The fund will help attract and retain Queensland’s young people within our arts and cultural sector, and focus on activities which support ongoing employment and career development. Congratulations to the IndigeDesign Labs participants who created these vibrant works with program partner Leigh Harris of Ingeous Studios with the support of digital arts mentor Russell Milledge. IndigeDesign Labs is a partnership between Ingeous studios and NorthSite Contemporary Arts, with seed funding provided through the John T Reid Trusts. NorthSite’s Façade project is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
