24.01.2022 EDFC has a new Trophy. It is called the Roz, named after Roslyn Ruland who has been a great volunteer for the Eaton Dardanup Football Club for 17 years. For ...the first time, last year the u13s Girls team was split into 2 teams & played two intraclub matches. This trophy was awarded to the winning team. The trophy was just called the Starfire Trophy. The teams were called the Flames and the Fireballs. The trophy now has a proper name that will mean a lot to our club - the trophy is now called The Roslyn Ruland Starfire Trophy and most affectionately simply known as The Roz. The trophy was presented tonight to Roz by Club President Jeremy Mills. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we did not have time to have our tournament this year. This perpetual trophy will now be awarded each year to the winning team of a tournament played by combined teams from within our club made up of our female players from u12s to u17s. The trophy represents the exciting & positive impact that females have in playing soccer and also highlights the important roles that they, like Roz, have in running soccer clubs & associations. Thank you Roz for all your work and we look forward to you presenting the trophy next year to either the EDFC Flames or the EDFC Fireballs. 2019 was won by the Flames.

24.01.2022 Well Done Queen Bees! Thanks to Brendan and Hay Park United for hosting us. We were very proud to see our girls compete against such a strong opposition. We have some exciting talent in our Academy and our girls epitomised our values today so well!

Jobs involved are: Food preparation Ground Marshall Covid Marshal Pack up Please comment below what time you’re available and what job. 20.01.2022 Last night around 1-2am we were broken into with doors and windows being smashed. The thieves made their way into the bar and stole a large amount of packaged a...lcohol drinks and then left our keg beer taps running as a farewell present. If anyone in the local area saw or heard anything we urge you to please contact the police. We hope that something useful may come from CCTV footage if you live nearby and have cameras can you please check if there was any activity between 1-3am last night. The Pav is run by the Leschenault Sporting Association and we are a nonprofit community organisation supporting 6 local community sports clubs. This criminal act of vandalism and theft is upsetting for our staff and impacts our loyal members, guests and the local community. We plan to reopen as normal on Wednesday from 5pm with our Parmi Specials & Quiz night fun. Come along and support us as we recover from this horrible turn of events. Also please share this post in the hope that someone may know something about who did this and that they’ll do the right thing by reporting it to the police. See more

20.01.2022 Construction of the Hay Park North Sporting Pavilion will get underway next week. The project will see the construction of a regional facility at the northe...rn end of the Hay Park sporting precinct and include four changerooms, kitchen facilities, public toilets and community space. The pavilion will service the surrounding area where sports such as junior cricket, junior football, rugby, cricket, athletics and frisbee along with community groups such as the Bunbury Dog Club currently utilise the existing playing fields. Running separate to the pavilion project is the construction of additional car parking, footpaths and landscaping in the surrounding area. Local contractors Smith Constructions and JAK Civil were recently awarded the contracts to complete the pavilion and car park projects. The total investment by the City in the Hay Park North project is estimated at $3.9M with funding from the State Government. During the construction period, access to the South West Sports Centre and sporting grounds will be from the Parade Road and Washington Avenue entrances. There will no longer be access available from the Socceroos Place or Wallabies Way entrances. The expected completion of the northern pavilion is November 2021. The remainder of the works including car park and landscaping will be staged and are due for completion by March 2022. Please see map for detail.

16.01.2022 Our 2020 season is shortly coming to a end. We are so relieved that through all the crazy Covid times we have managed to play the great world game and experienc...e the fun and team spirit that comes with soccer. Due to Covid restrictions we are unable to have our usual windup with shared food. This year our windup will include trophy/medal presentations, special awards, coach thank you and team photo. Players will then receive a drink and lolly bag at the conclusion of presentations. We will need to adhere to a strict time schedule to fit all teams in the allocated time slots. We appreciate your help in leaving the hall in a timely manner. We hope you have enjoyed the season and we wish you the best of luck for the last 3 games. Marina Leatherbarrow
