24.01.2022 Mia | PCYC Bunbury | WA Mia was so shy in the beginning and refused to join in with the group, but did not want to leave and happily watched from the sideline w...ith a big smile. After 2 weeks of watching she finally worked up the courage and joined in and hasn't looked back since. Now each week more determined she looks forward to each of the drills remembering a few favorites and practices at home with her younger sister and Dad. Mia's coach Jason has been an awesome help always encouraging her to join in and have a go. See more
24.01.2022 We are looking at over 200 teams competing in the 2020/21 Summer Domestic Competition, that’s an increase of 20 teams!! With 8 players per team we expect to have 1700 members. Players can register to a team throughout the season.

03.01.2022 [McGowan committed to Warwick stadium upgrades] Today, the Premier Mark McGowan announced that if Labor wins the upcoming election, they will provide $200,000 ...to support upgrades at Warwick Stadium. The Warwick Senators play an essential role in the local community providing local youths from Greenwood, Kingsley, Warwick, Woodvale and other surrounding suburbs with the opportunity to partake in basketball. This not only impacts their physical development but is incredibly important for their social and emotional development as well. The improvements to backboards, rims and engineering to the older four courts will allow for a safer environment for participation and increase usage capacity further. The Warwick Senators is one of our largest Associations with over 4,000 active playing members. The association has an enormous social and economic impact on developing young people as players and coaches, including local families in their community through volunteering and creating jobs such as being a referee for young locals. A key aspect of this is the Senators NBL1 West teams' home and the upgrades to seating, lighting, and video functionality will further support this community hub for players and families in the local area.

In all the teams (sports and non-sports) that I’ve seen be successful, there has always been that selfless oddball character. If you watch closely, you can see them in action, encouraging colleagues quietly, but almost too intensely, and they can rip teammates that deviate from the goal...hard yarns on values, attitudes, behaviours. And when success happens, they’re at the back quietly enjoying the success of others, almost invisible. And it can happen at all levels of competition and age group.
