24.01.2022 We continue with our @harveybeefwa recipe ideas this long weekend with a Pan-Fried Bone In Rib Eye with Caramelised Parsnips & Pistachios sure to get the whole family talking! Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories this long weekend; INGREDIENTS... 2 x Harvey Beef Bone In Rib Eye 100g butter 3 sprigs of thyme For the Parsnips: 25g butter, cubed 20ml olive oil 2 large parsnips 3 tablespoons honey 50g pistachios, crushed 15ml sherry vinegar INSTRUCTIONS 1. Allow rib eye to come to room temperature for 15 minutes & preheat oven to 180c. 2. Heat a fry pan to medium high heat, add butter to pan with thyme, sear rib eye until golden brown, spooning butter over each side as they fry. Transfer to baking tray & roast for 12 15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 54 degrees for medium rare (use a meat thermometer). 3. Peel & cut the parsnips in quarters lengthways. Toss with oil, honey & vinegar. Lay on a baking tray with cubes of butter. Roast at 180c for 15 minutes, or until golden & soft. Sprinkle parsnips with pistachios. 4. Carve rib eye into thick slices to share & serve with the parsnips on the side. #harveybeef #supportlocal See more

19.01.2022 In the first of our series of Harvey Beef recipe ideas we are posting this week, you won't be able to go past our Sticky Soy Glazed Beef Brisket with Honey Fried Bok Choy for a mouthwatering meal! Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories this long weekend; INGREDIENTS... 1 kg Harvey Beef Brisket 6 tbsp Chinese 5 spice 1 knob ginger 1l water 60ml soy sauce 3 spring onions For the sticky glaze: 100g Demerara brown sugar 50ml oyster sauce 100ml soy sauce 2 garlic cloves, crushed 50 ml water For the bok choy: 1 bunch bok choy 3 tbsp honey 1 tbsp sesame oil INSTRUCTIONS 1. Rub brisket generously in Chinese 5 spice. Marinate for up to 8 hours if possible or overnight. 2. Heat frypan to medium high & oven to 160c. Oil the brisket, then sear until the outside is golden. Transfer to a deep baking dish or slow cooker with ginger, water, soy & spring onions. Cover with a tight seal & cook for 4 hours until tender. 3. Add the sticky glaze ingredients to a small saucepan & bring to the boil. Lower heat & simmer until reduced & sticky, about 5 minutes. 4. Cut the bok choy in half, bring a saucepan of water to boil, blanch bok choy for 30 seconds & remove. 5. Heat a fry pan to a high heat, add sesame oil & honey, then bok choy cut side down & allow to caramelise. 6. To serve, remove brisket from baking dish, & pour over sticky glaze. Slice into thick slices, serve with honeyed bok choy & steamed rice if desired. #harveybeef #supportlocal See more

13.01.2022 We continue with our @harveybeefwa recipe ideas in the lead up to this long weekend with our Spicy Mexican Burger served with Nacho Crisps, Guacamole & luscious sour cream, perfect for that satisfying meal! Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories; INGREDIENTS... 1 packet Harvey Beef Angus Beef Burgers 4 burger buns 4 slices tasty cheese 150g rocket 1 pkt Tortilla chips 1 tbsp chopped jalapenos 8 tbsp sour cream For the guacamole 2 ripe avocados diced red onion 1 tomato finely diced Juice lime 5 drops tabasco Sea salt and black pepper to taste INSTRUCTIONS 1. Peel, deseed and dice the avocado, then in a mixing bowl combine with onion, tomato, lime and tabasco, crushing the avocado into a chunky spread. 2. Heat a fry pan or grill until very hot. Grill burgers for 4 minutes on each side, turn again and cook for another 4 minutes. Top with cheese and cover for 2 minutes to allow to melt. 3. Mix sour cream and jalapenos together, season with salt and pepper. 4. Grill bread and assemble burger with generous amount of guacamole, crushed tortilla, burger, lettuce and sour cream. #harveybeef #supportlocal See more

11.01.2022 Hungry anyone? Our @harveybeefwa recipe ideas continue with this delicious Angus Beef Sausage with Mustard Mashed Potato, Caramelized Onion Gravy & Gremolata! Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories this long weekend; INGREDIENTS... 12 x Harvey Beef Angus Beef Sausages For the Mustard mashed Potato 500g potatoes, peeled and cut 150ml cream 100g diced butter 3 Tbsp. Seeded mustard Salt and pepper For the Gremolata 1 packet of fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped finely 3 cloves of garlic, finely minced Zest of 2 lemons For the caramelized Onions 2 brown onions, peeled and thickly cut lengthways 100 ml red wine or red wine vinegar 500 ml instant gravy, hot and ready to go 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground INSTRUCTIONS 1. For the mashed potato place cut potatoes into a pot of cold salted water and bring to a rolling boil and cook till you can gently insert a knife into them. Meanwhile bring cream to almost boiling point and turn off. When potatoes are ready remove from water and add butter. If available use a mouli and pass the potato through, alternatively use a potato masher and mash the potato very thoroughly. Add the mustard and most of the cream and fold it through the potato. Season to taste (add more cream for a wetter consistency) 2. For the gremolata mix all ingredients together and set aside. 3. For the caramelized onions sautee the onions in a medium hot pan and olive oil until they take on colour, then deglaze with a splash of wine. Make gravy as per packet info and add the onions and pepper. Keep in a warm place till serving. 4. Place sausages in a fry pan and cook till golden on the outside turning regularly for even cooking. 5. To plate spoon a generous portion of the mash on a plate, place sausages on top, ladle the onion gravy over the whole dish and sprinkle with gremolata #harveybeef #supportlocal

Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories this long weekend; INGREDIENTS... 4 Harvey Beef Eye Fillet Steaks 1 red capsicum 1 large carrot 50g bean shoots 200g Chinese cabbage 3 spring onions, finely sliced 4 radishes, finely shaved 1\2 cucumber, shaved into ribbons 1 bunch coriander leaves, torn 1 bunch mint leaves, torn For the Dressing 4 tbsp fish sauce 4 tbsp rice wine vinegar 2 tbsp white sugar cup water 3 cloves garlic 1 long red chilli, finely chopped 4 tbsp lime juice INSTRUCTIONS 1. Pre-heat oven to 160C and a frying pan to very hot. 2. Season eye fillet steaks with salt and pepper and sear with a little oil in the pan for 2 minutes on each side until golden. 3. Transfer to oven and cook for 3 minutes each side. For rare check for 50C internal using a digital meat thermometer. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes on a cooling rack and then chill in the fridge. 4. For the dressing dissolve the sugar over a gentle heat with the fish sauce and vinegar. Then cool and mix with remaining ingredients. 5. Thinly slice the capsicums and carrot and shred the cabbage very finely. Mix with the other salad ingredients, vegetables and torn herbs. To serve thinly slice beef and mix with vegetables and generous amount of salad dressing. #harveybeef #supportlocal See more

Our simple to follow recipe is below to help you make delicious memories; INGREDIENTS... 4 x Harvey Beef Scotch Fillet Steaks Sea salt & ground black pepper 200g rigatoni pasta 250g mixed cherry & grape tomatoes 1 bunch fresh basil leaves 1 red chilli, finely sliced 4 tbsp baby capers 2 cloves garlic 200g marinated Persian feta For the dressing 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice tsp sea salt tsp ground black pepper INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water per packet instructions and drain. Drizzle with olive oil and allow to cool slightly. 2. Heat a BBQ or grill plate until very hot, season scotch fillet generously with salt and pepper and char for 3 minutes on each side. Rest on a cooling rack for 5 minutes before serving. 3. Cut tomatoes into quarters, chop chilli, garlic & capers, tear basil leaves and combine with warm pasta & crumbled feta in a large bowl. 4. Whisk together dressing ingredients, drizzle over salad and toss gently. Slice scotch fillet into thin slices and serve on top of salad. #harveybeef #supportlocal See more
