24.01.2022 INTERNATIONAL ARTIST, choreographer, dancer and actor Renae Shadler & Collaborators joins us at Faces this term for 2 movement based workshops in preparation for end of year photoshoots. The chance to work with Renae who trained at The Victorian College of the Arts is an outstanding opportunity for the Faces and we look forward to welcoming her over the coming weeks.
23.01.2022 Countdown to ‘End of Year Photoshoots’ is on and over the past few weeks Faces has been preparing through a series of workshops for the big day. We were joined by the exquisite @renaeshadler for movement classes. Energetic, expressive and powerful bodywork that will make for exciting portfolio’s . 23.01.2022 A huge congratulations to the FACES that participated in The Bunbury Agricultural Society Show's Wearable Art Competition yesterday. I'm pleased to report the Primary section was won by FACES model Isabella and the Secondary section was won by FACES model Jonte :)

22.01.2022 As in life sometimes wonderful unscripted moments happen in fashion. When FACES model Quineka was joined on the runway by this enthusiastic and gorgeous little model - she stole the show and won the hearts of everyone. We don’t know who she is - and as quickly as she appeared she ran off into the crowd (after a few runway laps and skill full poses) with an exhausted looking dad chasing after her !. Thank you to Robyn Sealey for capturing this beautiful moment yesterday at our visit to The Balingup Small Farm Field Day - we had a brilliant day!

08.01.2022 Our Term 3 excursion to The Beauty Shop Bunbury was a resounding success thanks to manageress superstar Niobe and her dedicated staff. The 12-14yr class was treated to an in-store visit, an in-depth demonstration led by Emma and Carris and then received beautiful @inikaorganic Eyeliner and Mascara to commence their own practice. Everyone at the Beauty Shop Bunbury went above and beyond to host a memorable experience full of education, practical guidance and exceptional care. Myself and the students are very grateful for this exceptional opportunity

04.01.2022 If you have time - do please have a read. Great care should be taken when explaining and coaching how the young ones are encouraged to communicate with the camera. I know sometimes my students want to do more 'grown up things' and roll their eyes when I say 'No - don't walk around with your hands on your hips, and No - we don't do that' But I always explain why, and that their bodies are their own and there's no need to communicate provocatively.... I think 'helpless and frail' in a hangover from 90's fashion - we are such a long way from that now but in some photographers that look is alive and well. Anyway - its a joy to teach your young people to pose strong, walk tall and to be confident not arrogant or lascivious.
