24.01.2022 Hello Fringe Followers. What a bizarre time we live in. There is no denying that COVID-19 has impacted on every single one of us in some way, and connection with our family and friends is taking on a whole new meaning. The first industry to be impacted, and impacted heavily has been the arts and events industry. Bunbury Fringe relies on our artists to financially survive this madness, so that we can deliver you another incredible Bunbury Fringe Festival in 2021. Jonny Gol...ightly presented us with 3 incredible performances this year including his one act play, Maureen, Harbinger of Death, Dollar Bin Darlings Disco and presenting his short film Joy Boy. We fell in love with Jonny, and ask you to now support him by subscribing to his new you tube channel. Jonny, in his usual creative way launched his Doomsday Disco 2 weeks ago. I spent Saturday dancing to this disco and it filled me with joy. So, follow Dollar Bin Darlings, Follow this link, and subscribe to his you tube. Support our artists, and in doing so bring some laughter, joy and dance to your quarantine. Jo x See more

19.01.2022 Writer, performer and director Ross Vegas presents Recurrence, a live-looped hip-hop song-cycle, incorporating beat-box, spoken word, memoir, and comedy. The musical instinct, the rhythm of the stars, the cycles that we are inside, and that are inside us. Somewhere between a hip-hop concert, a stand-up comedy show and a TED talk, live acapella loops become a metaphor for the patterns that govern our lives and our universe, from cells to galaxies, from history to our heartb...eat. A truly unique performance! Book now at: https://bunburyfringe.com/recurrence https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6lpY-N6fRVI&feature=emb_title

19.01.2022 This is one small way you can help. If you had planned to go to a gig or event in the next few months, and have now cancelled, the perhaps donate a portion of that ticket price to Support Act. This organisation supports a wide range of people in the music industry, not just musicians but tech crew and managers as well. And listen to some music this weekend. Stream away.

17.01.2022 MARTHA: A PICTURE STORY Counter culture legend Martha Cooper captured the birth of the global graffiti movement in NYC in the 70’s and 80’s, and Sydney based director Selina Miles has captured her incredible life in the documentary Martha: a Picture Story. Photographer, incidental historian and crucial archivist, Cooper has collected images, catalogues and objects that span the evolution of street art. We are honoured to be screening the story of her life at the Bunbury F...ringe hub on Tuesday 26 January at 11am - an exploration of one radical woman, and the incredible, groundbreaking artists she shot. Suitable for all ages, this would be an awesome experience for creatives and artists, young and old! Head to www.bunburyfringe.com/martha for tix

09.01.2022 In the four years of Bunbury Fringe bringing colour and life to streets and spaces in our city, we have worked alongside so many incredible individuals - artists, technicians, creatives, managers, agents and companies, from all over Australia and the world. We've shared our passion for the arts, we've sweated it out to bring incredible projects to life, we've raised toasts and celebrated successes big and small. Our industry, our COMMUNITY, is really hurting right now. At las...t count, the "I Lost My Gig" website records 65,000 events cancelled, 380,000 individuals affected, and $100 million in lost income by those individuals. Just in Australia. There isn't much any of us can do but keep our chins up, carry on, and help one another on a personal level when we are able. But we just want to say, from our team at Bunbury Fringe, that we are down not out! We'll bring every bit of skill and determination we have to see our festival return bigger and better in 2021, to support our extended Fringe family (the artists, technicians, creatives, managers, agents and companies... you know who you are!) and to bring that Fringe colour back to Bunbury once again. We love you, we see you, we're in this together with you. If there's a Fringe artist or individual you've LOVED from the past four years of performances, perhaps drop a little line (and a little love) below and encourage 'em... this is intermission, not the end.

03.01.2022 Bunbury Fringe recognises this week as National Reconciliation Week and acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this beautiful land on which we live. It could not be a better, more pertinent time to really focus on the Reconciliation Australia theme for 2020 - we’re all in this together. Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the br...oader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We’ll do all we can to see those connections strengthened! We love this photo of our mate Troy Bennell after Welcome to Country at the opening of Fringe 2019... #inthistogether2020 #nrw2020 #noongarcountry #alwayshasbeenalwayswillbe
