20.01.2022 Woohoo, these boys played their hearts out today and pushed the top team to the very last ball of the game, we won 3 skins and that team is now second on the ladder. Our second game today we WON, and 3 skins putting us 3rd on the ladder and straight into the Preliminary Final against Ballajura. A big thanks to @tom_._murray for filling in for us today. I couldnt be prouder of these young men and a big thanks to all the parents for making the trip to @strikerindoorsportsandfitness on Fathers Day. The boys loved having you there. 19.01.2022 Extremely proud of this bunch of great boys. @bunburyindoorsports has for the first time entered a team in the Under 17 State Superleague competition run by Indoor Sports WA. They have played 4 games over the last 2 Sundays, and although we have not had a win the boys have played their hearts out. The last game today against the top team came down to the last ball of the match. These boys are mostly 13/14/15 years old playing against teams made up of mainly 17 year olds, s...o they can hold their heads very high. We have our last 2 games next week and I feel a win or two there for the taking if we play like we did today. And then perhaps a finals position will be ours. 19.01.2022 And onto the Grand Final we go. A fantastic game by our under 17s today Striker Indoor Sports & Fitness, Leeming We bowled and fielded so well and set ourselves up with a target under 100. All of our pairs batted extremely well after some early nerves and fought the game out to the end. As I have said before, our team is only made up of 1 x 17 and 2 x 16 year olds and the rest 13, 14 and 15. To be playing like they are in the highest level of indoor cricket against the... best the state has to offer is a great achievement. 16.01.2022 Well not the result we were after today, but these boys are still champions. After winning the toss and deciding to bowl, we bowled and fielded like demons, keeping the Bouncer team to just 81 total, we just couldnt quite come through with the bat. The Bouncer team were all 17 years old and we have one 17 two 16s and the rest 13/14/15. I couldnt be prouder of this fantastic bunch of boys who are already talking about next year . Thanks again to @waca_cricket @cricketso...uthwest for your support and the amazing team at Indoor Sports WA. Christian, Steve, Nathan, Jodi and all the centres, Striker, Seamer, Ballajura and Bouncer for accomodating us with double headers to make less travel for us.
