21.01.2022 Our school was privileged to host the Bunbury Senior High School Junior Concert Band as part of their tour visiting schools in the south west. Students and staff were thoroughly entertained as they bopped and clapped along to various songs. It was good to see a number of past students return with the band. It was also a great opportunity for one of our students, Asher, to be part of the performance at our school. It highlighted the advantages of being part of the selected instrumental program in Year 5 and 6, and where it can lead to in the future. Thank you to Mr Ogden, Mrs Larkman, Mrs Smart and the Bunbury Senior High School Junior Band for such an entertaining performance. Public education in Western Australia

18.01.2022 Wow!! Our industrious Year 6 students hosted a spectacular Enterprise Market Day as part of the HASS Economics Program. Students had to collect market research, develop a business plan, budget, and then design, and create their own stalls. At the end of the enterprise students evaluated the success of their business. Our students were very proud of all their creative market stalls and the money they raised to offset the cost of their Year 6 graduation activities. The students... raised an extraordinary $1550 in 45 minutes during lunchtime. Added to this, an additional $500 was raised selling scrunchies at the School Athletics Carnival. Stalls on the day ranged from hair scrunchies, plants, tattoos, blissful bath bombs, to deliciously sweet lolly kebabs, snow cones and smoothies. Thank you to everyone who supported the endeavour and to Mrs Hodgkinson, who co-ordinated the enterprise markets. 09.01.2022 Wow! We are excited about our new Fitness-Agility Track. The majority of the track has been made of natural and recycled timbers (some timbers are over 28 years old). The soft fall is sand and wood chips (made for playgrounds). We hope our school community uses it wisely, respects and looks after the track, so everyone will benefit from its intention. We ask that any digging is avoided as this will cause issues for the softball areas around each fitness item. Our faction captains will be working on fitness exercises that can be completed on the track. This will form part of our outdoor eLibrary. The Fitness-Agility Track was made possible from a $20,000 Department of Education Playground grant and school funds.
