25.01.2022 WOW!! Thankyou to P&N Bank for this wonderful incentive for WA community groups and to your clients for nominating BARRC for the Helping &nds program. P&N bankers have very kindly put forward our organisation and we have been awarded $2000 owing to your support!!!! These funds will be utilised to purchase flea/tick and worming treatments for our dogs. Many dogs arrive infested with these parasites and having access to on-hand treatments will quickly make them comfortable as soon as they enter our care. Thankyou again to P&N and our community followers.

25.01.2022 Having a great event, there's still time to come down to see the event or visit the market stall.

24.01.2022 Head on down to The Bunbury Markets this Saturday, 3rd October from 8am-1pm. You will easily find our BARRC stall with lots of dog photo’s on the boards along with a colourful display of our Snuffle Mat collection and other gorgeous hand made items available for purchase on the day. We are there to chat to you about BARRC and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to more sunny days and regular catch ups at the markets. See you down there :)

Do you have room for a dog to catch a lift on the return trip to Bunbury?... If so, send us a pm, we have a lovely med/large boy who needs to find a lift to Bunbury to go into foster care. :)

22.01.2022 How amazing are these people! Hungry Tummies bring rescues together by sharing donated food to feed rescued and homeless animals. We are very grateful for their hard work and to community who kindly donate to help rescue animals

21.01.2022 Today is ‘Ask A Stupid Question Day’ We’ve all done it, had that question we wanted to ask that just sounded astoundingly stupid. We’re embarrassed that it even occurred to us, and worse, that we didn’t know the answer when it seemed so simple. The truth is there is no such thing as a stupid question, except the one that you choose not to ask. So if you have a question for BARRC, feel free to ask away here or send us a personal message and we will try to answer for you. :)

21.01.2022 How amazing do our new Donation Boxes look!!!!!!! Beautifully made from recycled materials with much love and thanks to Kim Ward and his fantastic workmanship skills. We are so proud of our logo and beyond grateful to Brett of Bunbury Specialised Painting Services . rego 7268 for donating his time and amazing skills to paint the images on our boxes. Fantastic result!!!... Our first one is now in place at Pet City Bunbury. Also pictured is Brett with a gift box presented to him by BARRC.

21.01.2022 We have a lovely white boy who is suffering from skin allergies. We would like to try one of these products in a further attempt to bring his skin condition under control. He is receiving vet care and environmental/feeding advice. If you have any of this product you no longer require, we would happily take if off your hands to give this boy a chance at a more comfortable lifestyle. Drop off is Pet City on corner of Zaknic Place and Strickland Street Bunbury, many thanks for your kind support. https://www.givenow.com.au/barrc

21.01.2022 WellJust Wow! What a fantastic morning we have had. It was so lovely to be able to mingle with the public who came to listen to our guest speakers today. There were SO MANY DOGS!! Ranger Aaron shared his experiences in the community and provided updates on new signage and shared dog exercise area protocol. Dr Felicity Harradine spoke on managing dog attacks, snake bite and heatstroke.... Renee Rice covered behaviour topics demonstrating recall and the importance of well managed socialising. Jayde from South West Animal Nutrition shared her knowledge on balance raw feeding and allergy management. Kylie of Pet City brought along a whole array of harnesses and seatbelt restraints and demonstrated their effective use. The feedback was very positive and we would love to hear from any persons who attended the event, with suggestions, or what they gained the most from today’s Dog-Ed event.

19.01.2022 Post a picture of your pooch and let others guess his/her breed. Happy Sunday feels.

15.01.2022 World Animal Day 4th October Started in 1931 in Italy, this annual celebration of all things furry is now a popular day in which we remember the important role that animals have to play in our world, as well as the people who devote their lives working to protect and care for them.

15.01.2022 ‘MALE’ FOSTER HOME NEEDED Kaiza is a sterilised boy of only 14 months. He is in need of an experienced foster care home. We would ideally like to try him in a male environment to determine his best permanent new home match. He is a relatively strong boy although walks well on lead, and has not been fostered in a home with other dogs to date. He may suit a home with a well grounded female dog of similar size. He requires a child and cat free home.... If you would like to message us with your contact details, we would love to chat with you further about fostering Kaiza. It is free to foster. BARRC provide everything you will require. Kaiza is currently located north of Perth. He can be brought to Bunbury or surrounds if required.

07.01.2022 Ladies and Gentlemen, might I take a moment of your time to introduce myself to you. My name is Bruizer and I am an older gentleman. I have just arrived into care with BARRC who have been so gentle and kind in helping me to settle in. I spent a short time at a local shire pound and though I was a bit unsure of all these changes in my life, the rangers were really great at looking after me until BARRC came to help. The BARRC family have booked me into the vets for a health check and whilst I spend time in a foster home, they will determine what kind of home would suit my forever needs. So keep an eye on their Facebook page and Website at www.barrc.info for my profile when I am ready to receive applications. In the meantime, just enjoy my happy face and have a great Sunday

06.01.2022 Did you meet Louis down at our Dog-Ed event on Saturday? If so, then you will know how sweet and joyful his nature is. Louis is an 18 month mixed breed boy of medium size. He has the quirkiest of natures and fills his foster home with laughter. Always entertaining with his cuteness and funny little habits,Louis is now seeking a forever home where he is happy to chill during the day whilst you are at work in preparation for an hour long power walk followed by lots of play and cuddles. To meet Louis, click on the link and apply to complete one of our Expression of Interest Forms. https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-d/search-now//26004

06.01.2022 Have you and your family been searching for your new furmily member? Well Dewey has been searching for you too! With a smidge of staffy and a touch of stumpy tail cattle dog, this handsome three year old is the perfect mix of active and affectionate, making him a wonderful snuggle and adventure buddy. Dewey is a very clever boy who loves to learn. He is well mannered in the home and responds to basic commands. He is happy to have two-legged brothers and sisters, as long as th...ey can respect his boundaries (no touchy the tail!). Dewey would like a home with no other pets, as he is reactive to cats and other dogs. So, if a snuggly, playful and loveable pooch is what you've been searching for, well your search could be over! To learn more about whether Dewey is the one for you, please check out the link below. Photograph compliments of Eva Lauren Photography https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-d/search-now//23460

05.01.2022 Pinch and A Punch Check Your Boobies for Lumps! Hormones can play a big part in tumour development in un-sterilised dogs. It is believed that spaying before the first heat cycle can significantly reduce the risk of developing mammary tumors. The most common clinical sign of a malignant mammary tumor is one (or more) palpable masses underneath the skin of the abdomen. Don’t wait till it’s too late. Have your dog checked regularly with your vet.

01.01.2022 Christmas comes early for our dogs <3 This morning we met with Finty and her lovable little rescue companion, Minty. Whilst many children are idealising the unwrapping of a new iPhone or latest Wireless Headphones, Finty instead asked her mum for $100 this Christmas to bring joy to rescued dogs. Finty then chose the items she wanted our dogs to receive and put together this wonderful package to be shared among our dogs in care. A lovely family with kind hearts and great looking pancakes! (we landed just in time for Sunday breakfast). Thank you for your community spirit. Our dogs will love the gifts.
