03.01.2022 Have you noticed the hatched area displaying within a bushfire warning? This is an incident area, which gives you an indication of where a fire or other inciden...t has been active. This shape helps give you a more complete picture of what's been going on, but it's important to remember it is not a real-time reflection of current incident activity and does not indicate that property damage or loss has occurred. This information is updated regularly, however emergencies can escalate quickly and the Incident Area may not show the full extent of the incident. Please remember: Incident areas are not active fire shapes or fire maps and you should always check the date and time listed on the incident area. Our official warnings are the verified information from the Incident Controller that you should use to help guide your decision-making.
