21.01.2022 QLD Government approval of our COVIDSafe Industry Plan means... COMPETITIONS AND CONTACT TRAINING CAN NOW RESUME ACROSS QLD! #HOCKEYISBACK!! There are st...ill guidelines that we all need to follow: 1. Where possible, you should still be social distancing so no high fives or close huddles. 2. All off-field activities are still to strictly follow social distancing rules including staying 1.5m at all times. 3. You still need to arrive dressed, and with a full water bottle. 4. EVERYONE including spectators, parents, officials, and players MUST sign in when you arrive, and out when you leave a venue. 5. Don’t share equipment. 6. Use hand sanitiser when entering and exiting the venue and as required during your session. 7. Spitting or blowing your nose onto the field will now earn you an automatic green card. Use a tissue or handkerchief. 8. Remember to follow your venue’s signage including entry and exit points. Each venue will have its own practices, so please listen to the instructions of your Association and work together! 21.01.2022 Hi All, after some lengthy discussions with our Coaches and the BHA committee it has been decided that unfortunately we won’t be able to facilitate our Hookin2h...ockey and MinkyStix programs this year. The guidelines that are required and the age of our group of kids proposed problems that we felt wouldn’t adhere to the guidelines and potentially put our community at risk. Not to mention the unknow as you when these stage 3 restrictions will be open. We are in the process of finding out where to for those that have paid for the hookin2hockey programs. As soon as we hear back from Hockey Australia we will be in contact with these families. Once we do hear about these stage 3 restrictions and know more we would like to hold maybe some one off sessions with our families. We are so sorry that we couldn’t run these programs in full this season but please keep in touch and keep an eye out for our one off sessions. Hayley

10.01.2022 As we have all been returning to the training fields over the past few weeks, things have been looking and working a bit differently. Use this simple person...al checklist for each training session, before you head to your session. Please continue to arrive ready to train, follow all hygiene and safety rules, and stick to the mantra "Get In, Train, Get Out". If we work together to follow these QLD Government-mandated rules, we can slow the spread and ensure that we can move into lighter restrictions in Stage 3 and get back to normal quicker! We urge you to follow any instructions given by the Venue or Association, and thank your volunteers who are working hard to get everyone back on the field.
