14.01.2022 This afternoon's class was working on slabs, but it was fun and they made Guinea fowls and one chook. Here they are, nicely tucked up in their coop for the night. Please pardon the elephant who has turned its back. The elephant began life as a pinchpot.

13.01.2022 We are looking forward to hearing about the Wide Bay Potters ' convention. Here are some of the latest bisque firing.

12.01.2022 Just bisqued are the items made by the latest new potters. Watch for the guinea fowl to come. They will be in the next firing. And....Some more freshly bisqued tiles.

12.01.2022 Today members took part in series of low temperature ( just less than 1000 deg), firings, and the slide show reveals the process and some results. Some horse hair additions to the very hot pots is illustrated; and then a raku firing using special glazes, withdrawing the pots at high temperature and quickly placing the pot in a container of flammable paper etc and closing the lid to exclude oxygen. This produces very interesting results as you can see.

11.01.2022 Today, bisque and gloss kilns were opened.

10.01.2022 Yes, success. Thursday to Sunday at the craft centre. Come early as the best bits will likely be snapped up. Notice too, that the other creative areas in the centre will be open. See you there.

09.01.2022 We are very sad to say that one of our loved members has passed away. On 21st of December, one of our life members, Vicki Stuart, passed away . Vicki was an outstanding Potter in all forms of the craft. She was generous in sharing her knowledge and helping newcomers to feel welcome. Her presence will be missed by us all. Vale Vicki.

08.01.2022 Our loved life member, Vicki Stuart, has passed away and her funeral was held on 8th January. Vicki will be much missed. She was skilled in all aspects of our craft and was happy to share her knowledge where needed. Hand building, wheel work and glazing, all these activities she excelled in. Winner of many Show prizes. We will miss her. Vale Vicki. You were our friend.

07.01.2022 Showing Vicki’s shade shelter. Thrown bowls trying out glaze combinations. Pleasing results. More tiles. Must be enough? But, we are still enjoying the process with opportunities to try something new.

06.01.2022 The opening our exhibition "Pets and Pots" was held on Saturday afternoon. We were welcomed to Country by Anita Lee, and our President, Necia.
