18.01.2022 KEEP SAFE, KEEP SMILING Introducing our first attempt at social distance banding. Our performance standards here won’t win any contests for sure, but we'...re not bothered as long as it helps bring a smile to people’s faces during this worrying time. We plan to do more of these in the coming weeks and months, and at some stage will be seeking musicians from other bands to join with us. We might even invite a virtual guest conductor too. If you like our music, you can buy our latest CD, 'The Jungle Book Live' from www.coryband.com. You can also listen to the entire version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the whole ‘Storytelling’ CD free on YouTube https://youtu.be/ZMX3Bv9x5gI courtesy of World of Brass. Finally, we know the world is currently facing tough times financially, and every little bit of support is going to be crucial to keep our amazing musical organisations going. 11.01.2022 Urgent Update!!! It is with great regret that the band would like to inform all members and followers, that we will be suspending all band activities until May. This decision hasn’t been made lightly however due to the demographic of our members and audience’s, we see it unwise to continue until the current situation with the COVID-19 virus has improved. ... The committee will be meeting in April and will keep all members informed of the on going changes in the coming months. If you have any questions please contact myself on 0439693436. Sincerely Band President Toby Smith.
10.01.2022 WE'RE BACK - KEEP SAFE, KEEP SMILING We hope you enjoy our latest distance banding performance. It’s without doubt one of the greatest rock 'n' roll tunes ...ever, expertly arranged here by our Musical Director, Philip Harper. If it cheers people up and helps you look past this horrible period and think of the good times that will inevitably return, we’ll be satisfied with our efforts . We dedicate this video to all those people in the UK and around the world working on the frontline looking after us. Thanks for your incredible support and please stay positive and keep yourselves and your families safe. Love and best wishes to you all The Cory Band #KeepSafeKeepSmiling #TheCoryBand #CoryBand *********************************************** If you like our music, you can buy our latest CD, 'The Jungle Book Live' and other titles from www.coryband.com.
