24.01.2022 Just a call out for any bags similar to this that you might get from your dentist at your yearly or bi yearly check up. They are perfect for our toiletry packs that we donate in backpacks to the Men’s shelter - approximately 350 bags each year. Give us a hoi if you have any that you’ve kept but aren’t using!

20.01.2022 Can you help make a Farmer's child smile at Christmas? As a Rotary club, we have applied for and received funding to help our local farmers and regional farmers of Queensland to buy hay for their stock and helped with fixing fences and other necessary farming resources. Now we want to spread the joy of Christmas to their children. We are in the process of filling Christmas boxes with a variety of gifts to go to the children of farmer's still affected by drought. Please donat...e a gift, so we can make as many Christmas boxes for children locally and regionally. You can leave your gift at the following businesses: - Four Walls Realty at Bundaberg and Bargara - Northside Produce, Gavin Street, North Bundaberg - The Club Hotel, Bundaberg - Canelanders Auto Service Centre, Toonburra Street, Bundaberg See more

19.01.2022 Some history: The club was contacted by someone who found this while cleaning out their parents home. They came to bundaberg in 1979 for the Rotaryanne’s district conference. It’s unopened, but no-one’s game to try it. Were you at this conference?

08.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of dear Marie Hickey, wife of Past District Governor 2005-06 Kevin Hickey. A gracious and elegant gentlewoman, Marie was closely involved - and a great supporter - of Bundaberg East Rotary for many years through PDG Kevin’s membership of the club. Funeral details will be advised as soon as they are available. Vale Marie Hickey

A touching welcome to country was given by local elder Narelle

The awards honour the contributions of frontline workers and personnel from hospital, police, ambulance, fire and rescue, and volunteer services, such as surf lifesaving, SES and marine rescue. 01.01.2022 I have been brought to tears sorting out the gifts I have collected from the Bargara School community, friends and collection points around town! I am humbled, grateful and blown away by the heartfelt generosity of everyone who has contributed to the Central Rotary club of Bundaberg’s project to give something to kids of drought, including a smile. And I have more to collect! Can’t wait to find out how many boxes we can make! Sarah Duff

01.01.2022 Last night, our club members packed Christmas boxes for children out in Longreach, where things have been pretty tough due to drought, for almost a decade now. This project was initiated and managed by Rotarian Sarah Duff, with the assistance of her students at Bargara State School, who also collected and made some of the gifts. Visiting Rotarian, and former Bundabergian, Nancy Harrison - from Rotary Club of Belconnen- kindly took these photos of what was a busy and fun evening at The Club Hotel.
