23.01.2022 Yesterday, we as a club hosted the Youth of Year Zone 8 Finals, held at Impact Community Services..6 local students contested the event. Due to the high quality... of the interviews and public speaking, it was a difficult choice for our judges. The two advancing winners to the Regional Final next Saturday are Lachlan Hocking from St Luke's Anglican College and Breeanna Pegg from Bundaberg State High School.. The Public Speaking prize was awarded to Lakaya Wolff from Krpnock State High School.. See more

09.01.2022 The Lions V District Cancer Foundation, with the generous support of Lions Clubs throughout Australia, has officially launched its mobile skin cancer screening ...unit at Government House in Victoria today. The unit will provide free skin cancer checks, especially to people in rural and remote areas, catering to those who have limited access to specialist skin care professionals. This has been a major project for a number of Victorian and Southern NSW Lions Clubs, and we are thrilled to see it has been officially launched by the Governor of Victoria, The Honourable Linda Dessau AC, today. The contestants were Breeanna representing Bundaberg State High, Lachlan Ho...cking-Saint Luke’s Anglican College, Sarah Garth-Xavier College, Lucia Andersen-Hervey Bay High School. The quality and standard of Students who competed was outstanding. Lachlan Hocking was judged Public Speaker and Overall winner for Q4 Region 3 YO.T.Y. He will now go onto Biloela as a contestant in the District Final held this Saturday. Lions Regional Chair Bonny Fox presented Lachlan with his winners Certificate. See more
