14.01.2022 Well what a weekend. While club members were at home hosting the Wessel BP Surf Boat Rowing Carnival we also had 20 junior life savers in Mackay competing at the North Australian Championships. They all had a great weekend and were pretty chuffed with their efforts. Four of our club members have been selected for the QLD Country Team. Well done to; Xavier Ulbl, Ariana Ulbl, Lana Grant and Kasey Krueger! Full list of results in the comments

08.01.2022 The stories you get to listen to when you’re on patrol. This is Gus. Gus turned up at the beach today with a surfboard. He said he had a board and wanted to donate it to a nipper who might not be fortunate enough to have their own board. It’s a weapon of a board! It was Gus’ late sister’s board and turn out Gus made the board for her so she could paddle out and spend time with her brother while he surfed. We tested the board, she floats and can catch a wave! Thanks Gus! The kids will have a tonne of fun using the board.
