Students had opportunities to participate in a game of soccer on the oval, play some outdoor games with Chappy Dave, or plant some herbs and paint a Terracotta Pot with our YSC Emily. 22.01.2022 The last two weeks of the Term 3 have been extremely busy for the Humanities Department and I would like to highlight a few of our most significant activities over the past week or so. Our Year 7 students have been busy finishing their ancient Egypt research and multimodal assessments. The students have used their research to represent the historical concept of continuity and change in regards to their topics by creating display models. Our Humanities teachers have seen a ...number of fantastic model pyramids, mummies, and students in Miss Markotanyos class even held an amazing Ancient Egypt Expo where they displayed their work to staff and students from across the school. Mrs Libbis Year 8 class were busy engaging in extension activities that put their decision-making skills to the test with the catchment detox problem solving game. In the senior school, Ms Jordans Year 12 Active Volunteering class put on an impressive display last Wednesday, where the students promoted the benefits of volunteering and highlighted some of the projects that they have completed throughout their time in the course. It is clear that volunteering in the aged care sector was an extremely rewarding experience for these students and the highlight of their time in this subject.
