We already have a few families entered, This is much more casual than zone and would be great to see some of our athletes get a bit more experience competing with plenty of events on offer this is great day for our kids an the more that come the more fun!!!! 22.01.2022 Friday (2nd October) from 5.15pm to about 6.30pm, there will be a couple of coaching clinics for our members. Glenn will do shotput and discus John will do lo...ng jump and some basic scissor hj drills. We encourage parents to join in as we will explain the rules, tips and tricks as we go. At this stage there will be no pick ups or uniform sales.

These pioneer Little Athletics Centres in NSW were Blacktown, S...utherland, Eastern Suburbs, Denilliquin, Murrumbidge, Narrandera/Leeton, Manly Warringah, Hornsby and Randwick Botany. Today Little Athletics NSW runs at over 180 centres with 30,000+ members every season. Join us as we travel through the decades, celebrating all things about the history of Little Athletics NSW. We will highlight the present, past and future of the sport and recognize achievements of ALAC teams, athletes, volunteers, coaches, centres and officials! 13.01.2022 Season 2020/2021 Thank You all for your patiences as we organise ourselves this year. We as a club have decided to not formally go ahead with weekly competition for this season only instead, We are hoping to hold a series of gala days with on the day registration options over the coming months for the duration of the athletic season.... For all athletes. Alternatively and those wishing to continue weekly competition and training these clubs have offered all Our athletes options. Illawong- Saturday 12:30 competition Helensburgh- Friday 6pm competition Sutherland - Saturday 8am competition Have all offered our athletes the opportunity to register and compete at there clubs in Bundeena club uniform as the understand the initial cost and outlay. However if your athlete/child wishes to compete at zone/ regional/ state events will need that clubs uniform. Port hacking- Saturday 8am competition Revesby - Mixed Saturday & Friday competition (refer to fb or website) St George- Friday (evening) All of these clubs are well established and offer fantastic opportunities for training and competition in a fun family environment- Those wishing to help us out for the next season we will be re electing our committee in the following month please lodge your interest we need committee to be up and running for next season. 01.01.2022 The first official Little Athletics Australian Teams Championship was held in 1971. The first three matches/championships launched the NSW careers of an Olympi...an Debbie Wells and other sporting greats like Mike Whitney. 1971 Interstate Meet The first NSW team featured Australian fast bowler Mike Whitney and outstanding 9-year-old walker Bev Wilkins (Hayman) who eventually represented Australia at the World Indoors and Commonwealth Games. 1972 Interstate Meet This match was held in Perth with race walker Bev Wilkins selected for her second team. 1973 Interstate Meet Unfortunately, we have no photos of the 1971 team, however, we have various photos of the 1972 and 1973 State teams. A strong NSW team placed second again to Victoria at the competition held in Melbourne. Winner of the 100m, 200m and long jump, NSW’s Debbie Wells, would within three years be competing at the 1976 Olympics. High jump champion, Margaret Hamley would go onto win national senior titles Middle-distance champion, Paul Gilbert, represented Australia at the 1983 world championships and at her third Australian Teams Championship, Bev Wilkins won the walk.
