25.01.2022 Hello Everybody, Bundeena Optical can help with all your optical needs. Have you had the eye examination your thought of last time I posted something here? If not you should. Time gets away when it comes to regular check ups. What may seem to be a "few" years ago is often a lot longer. Most optometrists bulk bill appointments, so all it costs is your time, a pretty good deal when you look at the big picture. Also, its fantastic to see the amount of local children on the spor...ting fields again this season, well done mums, dads & carers, getting the kids active from a young age is so important to their development & growth overall including eye development & eye health. 10/10. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
24.01.2022 Hello Everybody, Bundeena Optical is still servicing the local community with their optical needs & I thank you again for your support & encouragement. As of late, contact lens sales have increased for us, we are competitively priced & have access to most of the major suppliers. Feel free to give us a call, no obligation, you may pleasantly surprised! I was lucky enough to speak to the Day Club at the Community Services Club recently, please keep in mind that home appointments are not a problem, even for minor adjustments or repairs. If it easier for me to come to you, too easy, everyone is just around the corner or up the road; just give me a call on 0434 427 457. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
24.01.2022 Hello Everybody, Bundeena Optical is pretty much into the groove for the year of vision, 2020. Keeping on top of your eye health is always a good place to be, if its been a while, its probably longer than you thought. Bulk billing is available from most Optometrists so it really is just a matter of making the time & effort. Dont forget to include any school age children, they are at a disadvantage if they are not seeing well. Being able to see well is a good thing. If you ...have an optical prescription Bundeena Optical is here to provide your optical needs, locally. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
23.01.2022 Hi Everybody, all is well at Bundeena Optical, were still supplying anything optical for the local community. We can handle your health fund claims on the spot... through our HiCaps/EFTPOS system. For those people with a reading prescription only, we have recently taken delivery of a good range of look-over frames or 1/2 eyes. What used to be reserved for school principals & barristers is now readily accepted as a very practical frame. You can read & glance at the television with ease. An inexpensive alternative designed to worn down the nose for an easy "look over". Fashionably convenient for the multi-taskers. See more
22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, even though it is the back end of summer & it's been wet, sun protection is still highly advisable. Bundeena Optical has a good range of polarised sunglasses for most budgets & for those who need prescription lenses we can look after you very well too. If you expect to spend time on the sideline watching local teams or spectating at Shark Park eye protection is encouraged. Best wear a hat too. If you have sunglasses you wish to use, we can do that as well. See yo...u next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
22.01.2022 Hello Everybody, just a quick reminder from Bundeena Optical that if you haven't already used your health fund entitlements this year, they will expire at years end. 20.01.2022 Hi Everyone, all is well at Bundeena Optical. Recently you may have received our flyer in your letterbox, just a reminder of what we can do & who we do it with. The German made Rodenstock lenses have been well received by the people I have dispensed, all with anti reflection coatings as standard. It was good to see optics getting a bit of a run on the news in the last week or so. Protective "computer" lenses was the topic & why they may be needed. With so much use of screened... electronic devices nowadays it is a subject worthy of consideration. Research has shown that your sleep health (& eye health) can be effected by ongoing exposure to smartphones, tablets & computers. Blue light is the culprit. It is known to slow or even halt the hormone that signals our brain it is time to sleep. The term "digital eye strain" is also becoming more regularly used in optics due to an excessive amount of time spent (work or recreation) looking at a monitor or screen. Children are at the head of the queue with this issue, guidance required. Specific filter coatings are available for both prescription & non prescription lenses. They do make a difference, a big difference to some. See you next time. Ian M:0434 427 457
20.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Bundeena Optical hopes that the year has started well for you. Dont forget to keep on top of your eyecare, a visit to the Optometrist is usually bulk billed through Medicare. Such is the importance of eyecare that it is one of the few things that can be bulk billed. All it cost is your time. Also, I received this information just recently on helping people with vision loss, I believe most people are happy to assist but may be uncertain of the protocol & miss... the moment. I hope this helps. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
20.01.2022 Hello everyone. Thank you to the people who have supported me so far, its been really encouraging. We should be geared up to process health fund claims later this month, there has been a lot hoops to jump through. Most health funds work off a calendar year time frame, so if you havent used your optical entitlements be aware. I can supply the normal "no gap" product range as elsewhere. Summer is nearly upon us, how are your sunglasses looking? It may be time to update or e...ven put your current pair in for a tune up. If you have a favorite pair of sunglasses with scratched lenses, they probably can be replaced with a new pair of lenses. If you have a pair of glasses/sunglasses in need of attention or repair please give me a call & we can figure out what can be done & whats best. Cheers Ian M: 0434 427 457 See more
19.01.2022 Hello folks. patiently waiting for my internet connection issue to be resolved. My apologies to the people who have collected their spectacles who couldnt have their payments & claims processed. Stay tuned, we will have to catch up at sometime. My phone is on & I can still get the job done! Cheers Ian M: 0434 427 457
19.01.2022 Hi Everyone, sunny days are well & truly here & Bundeena Optical has great deals on sunglasses, frames & lenses for the Christmas period. It will be here before you know it! Not very original but true. If you wish to use your own frame or sunglasses, not a problem, were happy to replace lenses in either. We have access to a great range of tinted or polarised lenses for your protection. Inevitably the next few weeks will be busy times for one & all, please dont leave your op...tical requirements to the last minute. FYI we continue to have great success with the Rodenstock Lifestyle progressive lenses. A great product at a fantastic price. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
19.01.2022 Hi folks. Yes Im still here. Looking forward to getting the internet back, apparently 1/3/18. Fingers crossed. My phone is still working M: 0434 427 457. Cheers Ian
19.01.2022 Hi everyone, welcome to 2018. I hope you had a good Christmas & New Year break. As we get back into the groove (I am reliably told that full groove isnt achieved until after Australia day), I figured I would give you a bit of a reminder about eye care. If you havent had an eye examination for 2 years or more, you should. Young or old, you should. If you come away with a clean bill of health, fantastic. You only get 1 pair of eyes & they cant be replaced. There are too many... diseases of the eye that, when noticed, damage has already been done. An eyecare professional can identify an issue earlier & advise you accordingly. Being the beginning of 2018, most health funds are "reinstating" benefits for the year. At "Bundeena Optical" we can process health fund claims through HiCaps & we also have EFTPOS facilities. If you are looking for "no gap" spectacles, not a problem, we do complete packages to cater for. All products that we use are of high quality & are very, very competitively priced. All we need is a copy of your prescription, you just have to ask for it. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457

17.01.2022 Hello Everybody, Just a quick message to let you know that Bundeena Optical is still here & will continue to function as long as the optical industry does. Obviously there is a lot of people currently at home. Please keep in mind that not only do we supply replacement lenses & frames we also do repairs. If you have a lens fall out or nose pad come off or something along those lines, we can help. Its not a problem to do local home pick ups & deliveries, or letterbox to letterbox business. Please dont hesitate to call for any optical help you may need, we generally can solve the problem. I wish everyone well & stay safe. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a quick reminder about the approaching summer, how are your sunglasses looking? If the lenses are scratched they can be replaced, if the frame is bent or crooked it usually can be straightened, if you need a new pair I can help too. Polarized lenses are the way to go for the best protection overall, pretty much a must if you live, play or work by the water, you will see the difference. Available in different colours for prescription & non prescription needs. Cheers Ian M: 0434 427 457

11.01.2022 Hello Everybody, it's November & at Bundeena Optical it got here quicker than expected. Sunny days are here & they're just going to get sunnier so make sure you are protected with a good quality pair of sunglasses, you don't have to spend a fortune to achieve best protection. Polarised lenses are the recommendation for Australian conditions, you will see the difference & they will make the difference. Available in prescription form as well. And of course don't forget to use y...our health fund optical allocation if you haven't already, like too many things, if you don't use it you'll lose it. Bundeena Optical can help you with all your optical requirements. See you next time! Ian M: 0434 427 457
11.01.2022 Hello Everyone, welcome to a new year. A quick reminder that Bundeena Optical is able to process health fund claims via HiCaps & EFTPOS. Health fund claims are generally renewed as of 1st January. No health fund? Not a problem. Bundeena Optical has good range of optical products to suit your budget. Because of our low overheads we are very competitively priced. As mentioned previously, because you have a new spectacle prescription does not mean that you "have" to buy a new frame. If you have a frame you like & wish to use again or you have purchased a frame elsewhere, thats fine, Bundeena Optical is happy to fit lenses only. A current prescription is required, keeping in mind that eye examinations are usually bulk billed by Optometrists. Dont forget your Medicare card! See you next time. Ian M; 0434 427 457
11.01.2022 After filling in many forms Im pleased to announce that Bundeena Optical now has a provider number. This now enables health fund claims to be utilised, I am hoping to have a HICAPS/EFTPOS machine installed within the next week or so enabling claims to be processed on the spot. The end of the year is near, if you need to update your current spectacles or sunglasses now is a good time to get active. All we need is a current prescription & away we go. Also, we do do "no gap" spectacles & can also do "packages" of multiple pairs if thats what you prefer. I have no restrictions on what can be done, its up to you. Thank you to everyone who have supported me so far, it is really appreciated.
10.01.2022 Hi everyone. 2018 is well underway & Bundeena Optical has had its "initial rush" for the moment. Progressive lenses seem to be popular at the moment, so I figured I would give you a quick rundown on the basic differences. Your prescription, frame selection & required use are the main influence on what progressive lens is most appropriate for you. The narrative that best puts it in "laymans terms" is that it is similar to buying a suit. You can get straight off the rack, fo...r a standard fitment. You might need off the rack but with extra long sleeves or of course you can get tailor made. Lenses are similar, & should be dispensed accordingly. As you may be aware, a lot of money can be spent on these types of lenses, it is fine line to balance between the financial & extra benefits of seeing better. Unfortunately, when it comes to eye care, a lot of decisions are based on cost. Bundeena Optical wants you to see well. We use quality German manufactured products, Rodenstock. We have very low overheads & we are in Bundeena. So far I have met many people in town, some I already knew & some I now know, it has been good, thank you. Please keep in mind that I am happy to see people after hours or do local home visits if you arent able to come to me. HiCaps/EFTPOS available. See you next time! Ian M; 0434 427 457
09.01.2022 Hi Everybody, just letting you know that Bundeena Optical is open for business. We have a fresh range of optical frames & sunglasses to cater for most people & for most budgets. Since the recent home schooling situation we have had a number of enquiries concerning children's vision. If you feel that maybe your child isn't seeing as well as they should, there is a fair possibility you may be correct. Under the recent circumstances parent's have been in a better position to obs...erve their children more closely. An eye examination with an optometrist is the best plan to resolve any concerns. As an examination is usually bulk billed, all it is really costing you is time, a pretty good deal for peace of mind. If you would like recommendations of local independent optometrists, please give me a call, happy to help. See you next time! Ian M: 0434 427 457
08.01.2022 Hi Everyone, there was an enquiry the other day about where you could donate your old spectacles for charitable organisations. Look no further, Bundeena Optical can forward your old spectacles for charitable use. In regard to "old" spectacles, I couldnt help but notice quite a few people are under the impression that a new lens prescription dictates that you require a new frame. Not so. If you are happy with your frame & it is usable, & they generally are, it can be used aga...in. A lot of frames that I have seen just need to be taken apart, cleaned & readjusted. This is something Bundeena Optical does, usually no charge. You may have to leave them with me for 20 mins or so, but it can make a big cosmetic & optical difference. They are on your face. If you know someone who needs a clean & adjustment Im happy for you to point them this way. See you next time! Ian M: 0434 427 457
08.01.2022 Hi Everybody, Good news! Things are a bit quiet in the optics game, so lens companies are offering some spectacular deals on the latest lens products. For example, progressive lenses now customised for general use relative to your lifestyle. We have had excellent results with the lenses Bundeena Optical has dispensed to date. Available in Colormatic, Polarised, Tinted or Clear. Very special pricing until the end of the year. Also a reminder for people with health care cover, it also expires at the end of the year. If you dont use it you lose it. See you next time! Ian M: 0434 427 457
06.01.2022 Hello Everybody, just a quick heads up. Bundeena Optical can help with your optical needs. If you are in need of new spectacles or contact lenses, all we need is a current prescription from your eye care professional. All you need to do is ask for it. We offer very competitive pricing on all optical products & carry a good range of frames & sunglasses to cater for all budgets. We have EFTPOS & HiCAPS facilities for health fund transactions. If you have a frame you wish to use... or re-use thats fine, supplying lenses only is not a problem. The same applies for sunglasses, replacement lenses are not a problem. As of late Bundeena Optical has had a few emergency repairs, our hours are flexible, just give me a call, we are happy to see you before or after work or even the weekend. Thanks for all the support! See you next time! Ian M: 0434 427 457

05.01.2022 Hello Everybody, Bundeena Optical can help with all your optical needs. If you are local & not in a position to come to us we can even come to you, were just a phone call away. Have you had the eye examination your thought of last time I posted something here? Maybe it wasnt for you but a family member. If not you probably should. Time gets away when it comes to regular check ups. What may seem to be a "few" years ago is often a lot longer. 05.01.2022 More news! Sunglasses stock has arrived & is looking mighty fine. 03.01.2022 Hi folks, Im pleased to let you know that our internet problems are pretty much resolved & its business as usual. The year is certainly moving on & the busier period has settled down. A good time to take advantage of the lull. It doesnt matter what age group you fall into, it is important to have eyecare on your list of medical to dos. If you have children or teenagers at school, it is to their advantage to have good vision under all circumstances. Those who dont see wel...l are disadvantaged. Some years ago it was suggested that, to enrol in school a "certificate" stating that the pupil had both good vision & good hearing was required. Id like to think that we are bit further down the track in regard to ease of access & costs. In principal, a valid argument. A standard eye examination is generally bulk billed with your Medicare card, all it should cost is your time. Its good to be back, Ill keep in touch. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
03.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Bundeena Optical hope that you all had a safe & Merry Christmas & wish you all the very best for 2020. Thank you for your support over the last 12 months it is greatly appreciated. It was good to see so many people using their health fund benefits before they expired at the end of the calendar year, good work, well done, value for your contributions. Most health funds renew your benefit schedule as of 1st January, so you should be eligible to now claim again if needed. Bundeena Optical is happy to help with all your optical needs. See you next time. Ian M: 0434 427 457
03.01.2022 Hi everyone, FYI Unfortunately we are without the internet again. Due back 21/4. That would be good. Cheers Ian M: 0434 427 457
01.01.2022 Weve had very positive feedback from MJ purchasers. These sunnies really are the good gear. Polarised & full UV protection, nothing less. As good as these look on the shelf, they will look better on someones head. Do you need sunglasses? We should talk, there are deals to be had. Good deals.
01.01.2022 Hi folks, Im close to removing patiently from my vocabulary. Telstra feels all problems are resolved. Im no telecommunications expert, but I beg to differ. Stay tuned. Ian.
