25.01.2022 It's Friyay! Did you know A cockroach can hold its breath for 40 minutes, and can even survive being submerged under water for half an hour.

25.01.2022 Albino cockroach? Or is it a cocky on a nudey run? If you chose the latter you’d be correct. This cockroach has just shed its exterior casing and will turn to normal colour in a few hours. Looks cool ha!

25.01.2022 Our technicians Shane and Carl today doing some bird control, inspection and repair for one of our commercial clients.

24.01.2022 TGIF which means it's time for another fact! and today it's all about bed bugs..... Did you know? A bed bug’s saliva contains a range of components that act as an anaesthetic, which means they can bite you without disturbing you, which is why you can’t feel being bitten. It also contains other substances that help increase the blood flow.

23.01.2022 Announcing our new Sanitisation & Disinfection service! This has been in the works for sometime but has been fast-tracked in light of the COVID-19 situation. Please like and share if you know someone who might be interested in having their home or business sanitised or disinfected. Our service involves misting the premise with an Australian made non-alcohol disinfectant which kills 99.99% of all bacteria. It does a much better job than simply wiping down surfaces with a bleac...h or normal disinfectant as the fine particles in the mist adhere to all surfaces, including those hard to reach. It is perfect for schools, childcare centres, age care facilities, offices, business, body corporate common areas, homes and more. Visit our website for more information @ https://www.bundillapestcontrol.com.au/disinfection-sanit/. Alternatively email [email protected] or call 0754754660. **Royalty Free Music from Bensound

21.01.2022 Termites have arrived for Christmas! Our senior technician took this video last night in Sippy downs. Those are termite Alates swarming on their way to find a new home & mate to start a new colony. This happens every year. If successful, they’ll create a nest & then start looking for food sources, which might be your house. That’s why annual inspections are so important. Just because you didn’t have termites on your property this year doesn’t mean they won’t be there next year. Merry Christmas.

21.01.2022 TGIF! So its time for another fact :) This Friday it's all about the cockroach. Did you know? The American cockroach has shown a marked attraction to alcoholic beverages, especially beer. They are most likely attracted by the alcohol mixed with hops and sugar. So keep a close eye on those bevies this weekend guys!

21.01.2022 And this is why it's best to leave it to the professionals

21.01.2022 We've recently done a termite treatment on one of our Mooloolaba customer's fence posts! As you can see this fence post is teaming with active termites, who have eaten within the fence to make tunnels. If you're concerned about Termites or haven't had an inspection on your home in last 12 months, get in touch with us today! Go directly to our website by clicking http://bit.ly/33cTI6r

20.01.2022 Look what we found under the carpet! While conducting a Termite Inspection in the Glasshouse Mountains today, our technician Carl checked under the corner of the carpet like always and found a bustling pack of termites. Carl found two types of Termites in 3 bedrooms; both Microtermes and Schedorhinotermes. If you think you may have termites, or simply haven't had your home checked in more than 12 months, get in touch now. 20.01.2022 We love hearing from our customers and what better way to start our day then receiving this lovely email. "Hello, I just wanted to contact you to say Thank you. You would not be aware of how much I think about your service. Our home is only showing the odd dead or dying spider, so we feel very safe.... Our home is on 3 acres and next to bushland so that certainly attests for how your highly professional service keeps our home protected. So even though you don't hear from us means your service worked well and we say thank you often. We don't have spiders, ants or cock roaches in or around our home on a regular basis. Please keep us in your diary to contact us for our next service in October. We are so grateful that we just had to write and let you know. Kind regards, Linda Cole" Thank you Linda and we look forwarding to servicing your home again later in the year!

20.01.2022 Friday is here again! So its time for another fact but this week we thought we would mix it up and debunk another myth! A common myth about termites is that if you have a concrete foundation or a steal frame home, you won't have a termite problem. That is far from the truth because termites seek out timber wherever they find it(e.g skirting boards, windowsills). They are so small and can find cracks even in concrete or brick and will be able to "dine" on timber even if it is not exposed.

20.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone!!! Fun fact this week is about our lovely 8 legged friend! Did you know? When a spider travels, it always has four legs touching the ground and four legs off the ground at any given moment

19.01.2022 Some photos of termite workings from a home in Woombye that we recently went out to do an inspection and treatment on.

19.01.2022 If you are scared of spiders...LOOK AWAY NOW

19.01.2022 It's Friday so that means it is time for another fact! Termites don't just love eating timber but they also love dining on each others faeces! They may not be our favourite house guests but definitely one of the cleanest.

19.01.2022 HOORAY its Friday and a long weekend! The only thing that would make today even better would be a fun fact! And today we are talking ants....Did you know? "When the queen of the colony dies, the colony can only survive a few months. Queens are rarely replaced and the workers are not able to reproduce." This is why when treating ants we use products called "contact products" which means when the ants come in contact with the products they take it back to their nests. It then spreads throughout the colony and to the queen causing a complete eradication.

19.01.2022 Did you know that breast cancer is the number one cancer diagnosis in women on the Sunshine Coast? Pop it in your calendar and make sure you #buyapair and support breast cancer this October. https://www.facebook.com/events/324197568873459/ #thewhiteoakcoffee #bloomhillcancercare #breastcancerawareness #boobiedonuts

19.01.2022 Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. When installing a termite barrier at a customers home and injecting the drill holes with product. It flushed the termites out that were underneath the concrete.

18.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday is here again and we thought with the warmer weather we are having we would stick to another termite fact... Did you know: Termite queens have the longest lifespan of any insect in the world. Some termite queens may live between 30 and 50 years, reproducing annually and founding numerous colonies.

17.01.2022 What is this you ask? It's a Bivouac. We found this in a clients home adjacent to the external air conditioning fan. It is not a termite nest but rather an outpost or a re-hydration structure. It is often built close to ground level, and usually found inside the wall cavity of buildings. It is a mass of moist 'mud' where workers and soldier termites can re-hydrate before trekking back to the nest.

17.01.2022 Thank god it's Friday! which means its time for another fact... Did you know? Rats have strong teeth that allow them to chew through glass, cinderblock, wire, aluminum and lead.

17.01.2022 Termite Queens are gross. Check out this queen pumping out eggs from her gigantic oversized abdomen - http://ow.ly/veRT30c1DmX

16.01.2022 A quick shout out to our technician Matt Wood who received this great review yesterday. And thanks again to Hayley for taking the time to make our day!

16.01.2022 We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. With the new year means new facts! Did you know? As many as 100 people die as a result of bee and wasp stings each year. So if you have a wasp or bee problem its always best to give us a call!

16.01.2022 Got ants? We can help! Our Deluxe Pest Control Package targets ants, cockroaches, spiders and silverfish. This service also comes with a 12 month internal warranty.

15.01.2022 Know anybody in the Morayfield, North Lakes, Bribie Island area in need of quality pest services? Comment below & let them know we can help

14.01.2022 Its that time again! Another Fun Fact Friday!!!! Did you know due to their small size, ants don’t have the room to accommodate a complex respiratory system such as ours. Instead, they breathe in oxygen through spiracles which are a series of holes located around the sides of their bodies.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Paula! She is one of our lovely customers who recently had a termite barrier installed at her home and won the Termidor HE promotion which was a $500 gift card! Not only can she now sit back and relax knowing her home is protected but she gets to go spoil herself as well. Congratulations again Paula! BASF Pest Control AU #termidorHE #pestcontrol #sunshinecoast

14.01.2022 While treating a Coptotermes Termite Invasion of a boat, we found them building a lead (trail) directly up to the heavens in search of wood

14.01.2022 So you think your home built on steel poles is safe? See that mudding on the pole? That’s what subterranean termites have built to get to this homes sweet sweet timber.

13.01.2022 Today's infrequently asked question (IAQ) is how to get rid of ants on a lemon tree. If you like the video give us a like and let us know what your infrequent questions are in the comment section. For more videos head over to our YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9ubl7R3g9m3klLy82WFYvg and subscribe. Or head over to our website at https://www.bundillapestcontrol.com.au

13.01.2022 It's Friday! So its time for another fact and because we are coming into the warmer weather its all about rats! Rats are very social and affectionate animals. They enjoy the company of other rats and even humans, without companionship they can become lonely and depressed.

10.01.2022 Keep an eye out!

10.01.2022 From all the team here at Bundilla Pest Control, we would like to wish all of our customers and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued support throughout 2019. Our office will still be open over the festive season except for public holidays :)

10.01.2022 Trelona active bait stations are a great alternative for termite protection for your home if a complete chemical soil barrier is not able to be installed. Because these stations already have an active product within the cartridges there is no need for monitoring every 4-8 weeks like some other systems. These only need to be inspected every 6 months.

09.01.2022 How good does the signage on Jason's new ute look?! Thanks to Bragg's Signs for the awesome work as always. #pestcontrol #sunshinecoast #northbrisbane

09.01.2022 It's not just your timber you should be worried about.... *Photo is from a recent termite inspection for one our lovely clients*

09.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone! This fun fact friday is all about everyones favourite creepy crawly... Spiders! Did you know? An estimated 1 million spiders live in one acre of land. The number might be closer to 3 million in the tropics. It is estimated that a human is never more than 10 feet away from a spider....ever

08.01.2022 This is a great example as to why we recommend installing all our chemical barriers with Termidor HE. Termidor HE travels through the soil with ease providing more soil saturation and superior protection.

08.01.2022 It’s that time of year again! Time to get your pest control done before the silly season starts.

08.01.2022 **Fun Fact Friday** Did you know termites have been on the earth for over 200 million years making them one of the oldest insects alive!

08.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday with a twist! This week we thought we would try something a little different and do Mythbuster Friday! This weeks myth is "Termites can't eat hardwood" This statement is 100% not true! In fact majority of termites within Australia that do significant damage are hardwood eaters and some termites will even eat soft and hardwood. ...

06.01.2022 It's almost the weekend and that means it's time for another fact! What is the point of flying termites? It basically signals the start of a new termite colony. Swarming is the means by which sexually mature termites with wings leave their nest due to overcrowding or lack of sufficient food. Both male and female winged termites take flight and essentially procreate mid-air, before then falling back down to the ground. The now impregnated female has the role of finding a suita...ble location in which to start a new termite colony as the Queen. In some species the male might die shortly after this nuptial flight See more

06.01.2022 Family run pest control business, Bundilla Pest Control have been avid supporters of Bloomhill for some time now and came onboard to extend their support at the... start of the year. Pictured is Ryan, one of the amazing team members from Bundilla who was onsite recently to provide pest control services here at our Wellness Centre. To Ryan and the incredible team at Bundilla, we think you guys are incredible and wish to thank you for keeping us safe at our centre. #bundillapestcontrol #sunshinecoast #bloomhillcancercare See more

06.01.2022 What do you think of the sign writing on our newest vehicle? Can't thank Braggs enough, we think it looks amazing!

06.01.2022 It's Friday so time to bust another myth! Myth: Bed Bugs are only found in dirty homes. Unfortunately this is not true! Bed bugs can live in the cleanest of homes as they aren't attracted to dirty places. They are attracted to places where their food source(blood) is available. Having a clean home will definitely help but will not guarantee your home will remain pest free! #funfactfriday #pestcontrol #bedbugs #mythbusters #sunshinecoast

06.01.2022 When conducting a termite inspection our technicians ALWAYS get into your roof void if possible. This video is from a recent termite inspection at one of our customers homes that had extensive termite damage throughout. Annual termite inspections are essential to assist with early detection of termite activity and reduce the risk of extensive damage to your home. The damage they cause is not covered by your home or contents insurance.

06.01.2022 How cool is this!? We recently went out to one of our customers homes and spotted one of these beautiful beehives. All of our technicians are highly trained in eradicating the pests you don't want but they also know how to preserve the ones you do! We must bee mindful of the creatures around us and help the planet anyway we can. *Fun Fact* There are 11 species of Native Stingless Bee's in Australia and they can be found right here in QLD.

05.01.2022 It's June, meaning we're approaching end of the FY. Make sure your investment properties have current pest control & termite inspections

04.01.2022 Today's question is how to get bedbugs off your body! The question came from one of our Mooloolaba customers. If you like the video please like and comment. For more videos head over to our YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9ubl7R3g9m3klLy82WFYvg and subscribe. Or head over to our website at https://www.bundillapestcontrol.com.au

04.01.2022 We did a lot of treatments for active termites this week. Most disturbingly, 3 of them were just for one species of termite called Coptotermes (2 homes and 1 boat). This particular species of Termite has been scarce on the Sunshine Coast for the last 10-15 years, & now they're back in force... Unfortunately they're one of the most commercially destructive species.

04.01.2022 We have expanded! We are now able to keep you pest free from the North Sunshine Coast all the way down to North Brisbane. So, if you or a friend have a property in one of those areas, we’d love to hear from you! We would also like to take a moment to thank all our loyal customers. This new chapter would not have been possible without you.

04.01.2022 When was your last termite inspection? With one in three homes being attacked by termites, make sure you get your home inspected by a licenced pest controller every 12 months..

04.01.2022 What our technicians get up to when it’s too wet for pest control #raindays #sunshinecoast

03.01.2022 Can you spot the lawn grubs? Recently due to the weather the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane suburbs have been plagued with these little guys.

02.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone! Today's fact is all about our favourite 8 legged friend....the spider. Not only do some species of spiders like to serenade their prospective partners with a dance, but they also like to offer their loved ones a gift wrapped in silk to try and sweet talk their way into a date. However, sometimes these males can be quite sneaky and a bit cheap. Instead of offering gifts such as flies and other insects, they offer a cheap knock-off such as scraps of leaves, or old gifts which haven’t been successful with other females.

01.01.2022 dun dun DAH!!!! So you think your home is safe on concrete and steel footings? THINK AGAIN! These termites created this within 2 weeks on a property in Montville. This just goes to show how important your annual termite inspections are.

01.01.2022 Sorry to any of our customers who were unable to contact us this morning. The reason you couldn’t reach us was - Telstra, who randomly decided to disconnect our number this morning (this was the best reason I received after 3hrs on the phone to Telstra). We’re very sorry for any inconvenience.

01.01.2022 Come and support an amazing cause this Friday at the Maroochy RSL from 6:30pm. It is a free event and bound to be a fantastic time!
