18.01.2022 SEASON 2020 CANCELLED!! The Northern Football Netball League and Eastern Football Netball League have today jointly announced the decision to cancel their senior football competitions for season 2020. The NFNL and EFNL Boards endorsed the recommendation from league management to cancel all senior football (including seniors, reserves and under-19s) for both men’s and women’s competitions.... Both leagues remain committed to conducting junior football competitions in 2020. The NFNL is also committed to conducting its netball competitions. Bruce first started at Richmond Back in 1976, before moving to the Essendon Football Club in 1982 where he remained Club Doctor up until he lost his Battle! ... Bruce has played a big part at the Bulls over the past 20 years, helping many players and supporters get back on there feet. In that time he has formed long lasting friendships and always kept a close eye on Bundooras fortunes throughout the football year. He made sure our Club was always a high priority and in turn kept a couple of appointments each Monday aside for players! 12.01.2022 2019-20 NETBALL SUMMER LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT!! The Northern Football Netball League wishes to announce the award winners from the 2019-20 NFNL Summer Netball season. Earlier this month the NFNL announced that all remaining matches in the 2019-20 summer netball season had unfortunately been cancelled following the return to Stage 3 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne and the Shire of Mitchell.... The NFNL consulted all clubs remaining in the finals series and a common view was shared that cancelling all preliminary and grand finals was the only viable decision in the best interest of all clubs, participants and the wider community. Despite the premiership not being awarded in any of the six summer netball sections, the NFNL has awarded Best and Fairest and Star Shooter awards for all competitions, as these awards are based solely on regular season matches all of which have been completed. The Best and Fairest award is decided upon by the umpires. At the conclusion of each regular season match the field umpires award 3, 2 and 1 votes to the three players they adjudged best on court. Votes awarded during grading rounds are included in a player’s final tally. The Star Shooter award is presented to the player who shoots the most goals in their competition during the regular season. Goals scored during grading rounds are included in a player’s final tally. The NFNL wishes to congratulate all award recipients on their outstanding performance this season. Awards will be presented once Stage 3 restrictions have been lifted in Melbourne. The NFNL will provide more information in due course. Please note, only those who finish in first place in each of the Best and Fairest and Star Shooter awards will be presented with an award.

Ian played 79 games and coached our reserves side to the clubs first ever premiership in the Diamond Valley Football league. He also worked on the committee and was one of four members to be first inducted as Life Members to the club! ... More importantly Ian was genuinely a great guy and will be sadly missed. 02.01.2022 2021 COACHES LOCKED AWAY! The Bundoora Football Club is excited to announce all our coaches are back on board for the 2021 season. All four coaches didn’t hesitate to sign up for season 2021 and are excited to get back out on the track when restrictions allow. Also in great news for the club, David Buttifant Will again head our high performance fitness program! ... MICHAEL RYAN- Senior Mens Coach Thank you to the executive committee for my Re appointment for 2021. Although this year we were unable to take the field for premiership points I believe as a club we made a great step forward in creating a selfless culture where the players are fully invested in ensuring long term sustainable success of our football club, its generated off the back of a strong work ethic and ability to push one another to be the best we can be. Our list is in a strong position with plenty of exciting kids coming into the club this year looking to play first division football, complemented by a core group of experienced players who have been the back bone of Bundoora for a long period of time lead by our captain Nipper Marshall. With the changing landscape of local football our priority is too retain our 2020 list inside the new scope provided to all leagues across metro Melbourne, our focus will be on retaining our current list once this is achieved then we will look to see what space we have to recruit. Too the coaching staff who have again Re committed thank you for all your help and again I am looking forward to working with you all to have a successful 2021 season and at the same time having having plenty of fun along the way. Robot, Izzy and associated volunteers thank you again for your help this year and can’t wait to have you back involved with the group I know all the boys and girls value the time and connection you have with the group.
