Working across on and offline modes of making, their practice aims to capture the experience of contemporaneity as reflected through queer and feminist ideologies. Drawing on humour, pop, sex, history and iconography, they develop shrines to a post-truth era. Xanthe is one of the artists in The Multiverse, opening on site at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre 16 January, 2021. Currently live is the Multiverse Digital Space, which shows a selection of works and is curated by Charlotte Christie and designed by Alexandra Margetic of General Enquiry: https://the-multiverse.com.au/

01.01.2022 Since the mysterious Gold Head in All Nations Park was vandalised last month, we’ve been speaking with the anonymous artists about exploring possibilities for t...he future of the site. We’re really pleased to have come up with a course of action that will continue the spirit of community engagement, connection and creativity inspired by this artwork. From February 2021 Council will deliver a series of special events at the site of the statue which will respond and pay tribute to the legacy of Gold Head. These unique activations will feature performances by artists and creatives living and working in Darebin. As part of Darebin’s Autumn FUSE Festival in March, Gold Head #3 (who has been in the care of Council since last year) will be auctioned off to raise funds for a homeless support service, as per the wish of the artists. More details will follow in the coming weeks, and we encourage you to sign up to the Darebin Arts mailing list if you would like to stay updated: http://ow.ly/62jm50D13yV For those just tuning in to the Gold Head story, take a peek: http://ow.ly/KOL050D13yW See more
