25.01.2022 Acceptance Letters Correction To BUFC members, There was a typo error for the Due date of the deposit to be paid in the Acceptance Letters that have come out in the last few days.... The correct due date for payment of the deposit is on January 31st, 2021. On behalf of BUFC, we would like to wish all our members a Happy & Safe New Year. See you all in 2021!! #bufc21



25.01.2022 Training Update! Today is the start of ALL teams back to training. It has been a long process to get to this stage, but we have finally arrived. Hopefully we can get back to playing on a Sunday real soon.... We would just like to outline a few mandatory guidelines as a reminder. All players must be signed in before training commences by the coach/team manager at the main entry gate. All players must sanitise there hands before entering the pitch with a Sanitisation station upon entry. Players must obey the social distance rule of 1.5 metres No handshakes, high fives or any physical contact No parents can enter training areas If you are sick you can not attend If you have a pending COVID-19 test you can not attend No spitting whatsoever Please enjoy your first training back. BUFC.

24.01.2022 Dear Members, BUFC has decided to suspend training for another week up until the 6th of July given the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 cases at St Monica’s College Epping and surrounding areas. Once again, this a decision that was not made lightly and after due consideration we feel that this is in the best interest of all our players, coaches, parents and administrators. Safety is of paramount importance and given the number of students that play and have siblings at the... club from SMC, we feel that this is the most appropriate action to take. We await guidance from Council of City of Whittlesea on process of resumption to training. Kind Regards BUFC Executive

21.01.2022 Dear BUFC Members, Following extensive review of the current COVID-19 situation and consultation with Coaches and Committee Members, BUFC has decided to cancel the Season for 2020. This is effective immediately and applies to all teams from U8-U16 and includes all training sessions and any involvement in FV competition. This is a decision that has not been made lightly and the Executive Committee believes it is in the best interest of our players, coaches, parents, committee ...members and our Club. Emails will follow this announcement detailing options for refunds or roll over of fees into 2021. Please check your SPAM folder for any that may go there. 20.01.2022 In light of today’s events and the positive COVID-19 result at St Monicas Secondary College, any Bundoora United FC player that attends this school and any other family members can not attend training this week. 17.01.2022 -- COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT -- Bundoora United FC is pleased to announce the re-signing of George Velkos as our Reserves Men’s Coach for 2021. This will be George's 4th. season at BUFC and after no Football was played this year, George is very keen to get stuck into 2021.... He will be undertaking a big change next year whereby alongside some of our experienced players, he will also oversee our many young talented players and moulding them into future Senior stars. When being confirmed as coach of the Reserves team for 2021, George was very eager to start training and be ready for the upcoming season. Welcome Back George!! #gobundy2021

14.01.2022 SEASON 2021 Update Dear BUFC Members, We hope that you are all well. As you would be well aware, we have no indication as yet relating to the return to community sports from Govt bodies and as such are not in a position to set dates for trials and registrations. Once we have a better idea of what the path to recommencement looks like we will certainly communicate this to you.... In order for us to commence planning for next year, you will be receiving an email from the Club with an expression of interest form so that we can gauge how many players will be returning to BUFC in 2021. 12.01.2022 - Return To Football Update - Dear BUFC Members, As per previous communication, the Victorian Government has now eased restrictions and we are moving closer to a return back to Football.... We are waiting for a response from Football Victoria in regards to the next steps and then from local council as to when we will be able to commence the use of our facilities. But before then, the club needs to get an indication from its members of their intentions for 2021. 07.01.2022 -- COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT -- Bundoora United FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Grbevski as our U18's Boys Coach for 2021. Peter has been at BUFC for 12 years of which 10 of these spent as a coach ranging from U8's to U16's. Along with developing some decent players during this time, Peter has also managed to win many championships along the way with various teams, and is looking to build on his knowledge and experience to get these next crop of juniors ...up to a standard required at BUFC. Peter's intent for 2021 is to ensure that the development of these players is paramount, but to all instill a hard working and competitive nature that will hold them in good stead for the future. After planning a break as a 1st team coach in 2020, Peter is now refreshed and ready to go for season 2021. Welcome back Peter! #gobundy2021

06.01.2022 BUFC Announcement! It is with great pride that we can formally announce that we have secured funding to redevelop our turf pitch at Hillsview Reserve. We would like to acknowledge the support of the City of Whittlesea in securing the funding through the Victorian Government's World Game Facilities Fund.... This long awaited redevelopment of the turf pitch will allow our Club to continue to provide the essential facilities required for player engagement and development. We look forward to providing updates during the course of the project and having access to the new pitch prior to the commencement of season 2021! 02.01.2022 Dear BUFC Players, Coaches and Members, We hope that you are all well! As you are all aware the decision has been made recently by all governing bodies to allow Sporting Clubs to return to training. As such the Committee of BUFC have been working towards the commencement of training, ensuring that all processes and procedures are in place to minimise any risk to our players, coaching staff, parents and club administrators/volunteers.... We are pleased to announce that we have approval from the Council of Whittlesea to return to training on 1st June 2020. This will however be done in a staged manner to ensure that our procedures are tested and can be managed appropriately. 01.01.2022 A big thank you to Sandybay Media who does a lot of wonderful things in Victoria to promote Womens Football. They spent some time last night talking to our President Andrew Kyriazis, Senior Women’s coach Matt Kiriakopoulos, Women’s Captain Alexi Garcia & Claudia Dimasi who is in the leadership group. There were a range of things that we’re discussed over the course of the night, so please have look and see what is happening at the club from the female side of things.
