20.01.2022 100 years ago today - the Mildura Shire Council notes Big Lizzies impact. Councillor JR Brown had "noticed the depressions made by the Big Lizzie in the road...way," and thought "this sort of thing should be looked into". It is not recorded if he made such a terrible pun or it was a Mildura Cultivator reporter... It was recorded that Councillor Brown was prepared to go with Crs. Gooch and Ginn and the Shire Engineer throughout the Red Cliffs area to check things out, however. The picture is of Big Lizzie on a Red Cliffs road sometime in the towns early history.
