12.01.2022 These two amazing gentleman are Peter Donghi OHM and Ron Purkis. They were both surprised today by being presented with life memberships at Bundaberg Meals on W...heels. Peter got a double surprise when he had the honour of unveiling the new gardens and found his own name on the plaque (watch my stories for the moment he realised) Bundaberg Meals on Wheels turned 54 on the 17th of this month and has been serving the Bundaberg community ever since. MOW is an essential service in our region, not only because they deliver meals, but because of the daily contact and connection that the volunteers have with their clients that is invaluable for their mental wellbeing. For many of these people the only person they might see during the week is a friendly MOW volunteer. I would personally like to say THANK YOU to all the past and present volunteers, committee members and staff of Bundaberg Meals on Wheels. You do an amazing job !!! The organisation is always looking for new volunteers and clients so reach out and say hello.
