23.01.2022 The tail of Ex Cyclone Debbie coming through here. Was like this all through the night and still going. Hoping only a couple of hours to go. Been a long time since the place looked so green. Dams are running over animals are sheltering and weeds are going!

22.01.2022 Well nearly the end of August 2017 and we haven't had any rain since early March 2017. It certainly is dry here. The sheep have had another lot of lambs, two of which we are bottle feeding. The geese are sitting on eggs and should start hatching next week. Lets hope they survive this time. The python got three last time and the remaining two disappeared down on the dam. They might have a chance as why we were away the Housesitters relocated a 8ft python which was in the shed with the goose!

21.01.2022 We received this from Booking.com, Thank you to all our guests and their wonderful comments.

17.01.2022 We have a new sign and have also renovated our driveway. Note the "Cooked" palms and the "Topless" swamp gum - from New Year's Eve horrendous storms when we lost power for 3 days. Lucky we had our new hybrid solar system with a battery which gave us power for the basics. We still need to do some more tidying and removing the dead tree limbs etc. Eagle-eyed folk may notice we also now have an asphalt speed bump which will also assist channelling rain away when we get big downpours. Hope to slow a few speedy visitors too! Photos are from our front fence where the new sign is, through the front gate to the hard stand area in front of the cottage and our house.

15.01.2022 Happy group for morning tea last Thursday for the Bundaberg & District Ex Servicewomen's Association.

13.01.2022 A couple of photos and another video. The sun is now trying to shine through so that may be the end of it.

12.01.2022 Before and After shots of the cottage roof. It has been repainted and now ready to have solar panels installed as part of our solar power system upgrade.

11.01.2022 Our latest award based on review from our visitors.

07.01.2022 Large gum trees were removed from the rainforest garden at the rear of the cottage. Now we are waiting for the men with the Chipper to make a stack of wood chips/mulch for the gardens. Next job is the repainting of the cottage roof in readiness for an additional installation of solar panels

01.01.2022 Photo from one our lovely guests during February 2017, before we got the rain ! The dam has been over-flowing for some days now.

01.01.2022 A couple of guests, Lester and Greg, enjoying a BBQ at our Cottage. Lester is wearing my Grandma's apron, no wonder he doesn't look pleased!

01.01.2022 Our recent visitors to the B & B had an interesting few days watch \ing the Rural Fire Brigade and ourselves manage a bush fire that started in the neighbour's bush. Although the fire did burn out much of our bush, it was not close to our house or the B & B. Here are a few photos from yesterday First photo is of our back track before the fire. The bush will spring back to life with the first good bit of rain.
