24.01.2022 Allusion Wines such a beautiful nook you have. N.B. Only 6.5kms away from us... a lovely stop to consider during your stay.

24.01.2022 ...what gorgeous weather we're having =) and looking at even more sunshine this week. After a bit of an autumn hibernation, this year's been a busy winter in comparison. While I garden at home and prepare a couple of plants for BBH ...it has been heart warming seeing and hearing of our guests adventures.

24.01.2022 We're so lucky this our home-away-from-home stretch...

22.01.2022 Beautiful Lady Bay @adelaide_aerial

21.01.2022 Long weekends at Normanville Beach #memories #normanvillebeach #fleurieucoast

21.01.2022 Winter is the perfect time to get out and explore your own backyard. Just like Alex did heading for #Normanville But don’t forget it will take you a while. You’ll keep wanting to stop! Blue and green should always be seen. @south_aus_drone #fleurieupeninsula #seesouthaustralia

21.01.2022 Thank you to all the guests that take the time to leave an official Airbnb review (we've hit 50 ) or have passed on other feedback. Most recently some lovely feedback was shared with the neighbour which circled back to the cleaner and created a few smiles. Appreciate your input and the care taken at the house and in our local community. ... Psst. We're working on a couple of ideas and in less than 2 weeks the NBN will hooked up and available for your use. And - happy long weekend =)

19.01.2022 New addition installed today - Bungala Beach House now has a Pura tap. Thanks to a recent guest's query before their stay... a good idea!

18.01.2022 My little assistant recently restocked the children's book shelf at BBH (and she has a few more books to make their way to Normanville). We were so pleased that a little guest was very excited to find a collection of their favourite books (Peter Rabbit ) #BBHreads #SouthAustraliaReads

17.01.2022 It's all about the view... and coffee!

17.01.2022 What a sun-kissed season... pleasure to have hosted a stack of new guests and some others who have become regulars

17.01.2022 my heart feels golden taking in the scenery of Lady Bay

16.01.2022 This winter we've been busy behind the scenes, planning a couple of things, including upgrading the house manual, adding to the local information often shared with guests. As much as we personally like the retreat aspect of staying at Bungala Beach House and somewhat disconnecting from devices. We have just super charged the TV signal with a new antenna and registered for the NBN, for future guests comfort and convenience. =) N.B. We still recommend enjoying the retreat ......whether it be a cuppa or a glass of champagne and a game of cards, a board game or soaking in the beautiful natural surrounds with your fellow guests! 14.01.2022 For the first time, on-water access for kayaking and fishing will be allowed at Myponga reservoir from 28 March. It's another step in the 'Opening up our Reserv...oirs' policy which aims to create new open, green space for people to explore, drive increased tourism and create jobs. I say it all the time but there is *still* so much more to come with Happy Valley Reservoir opening at the end of the year! How good!! 01.01.2022 Sometimes the afternoon calls for a siesta. Sometimes a quiet spot of reading... sometimes you may just need a bit of space on those lovely weekends away with others. Bungala Beach House comfortably sleeps 10, with the convenience of having two bathrooms. Loving this addition to the main bedroom!

01.01.2022 Sunday 9th August, approx 30 people attended the AGM of the museum. Guest speaker Pat Uppill née Mayfield , pictured with the president, Rob Ryan, spoke about h...ow the early settlers of Bald Hills & surrounding district lived their lives. The very interesting talk was accompanied by a slide show including photos of her Mayfield ancestors. Pat is also the author of several books about the district & her ancestors. A lot of the attendees had ties to the district, so were very interested in the history of the area. Because of Covid 19 restrictions we were unable to supply afternoon tea. Photos from the museum show wash day in the early days & as today is Monday it is a great day to post them as Monday was traditionally wash day !
