19.01.2022 Bought this old tandem 7'x5' trailer this morning in Wesburn for $180. Perfect for carrying 1 tonne of firefighting water. The old 6x4 single axle trailer has been retired for carting firewood, etc.

19.01.2022 Zoe's new friend Pebbles (all white) just arrived here from Kallista this evening. No longer wanted by her previous owners. Already getting on well. Just the usual "how do you do" heat butts first up.

19.01.2022 8 x 5 cu metres of clean fill from Andrew Inap's house extension excavation pushed in so far to level around the creek area. Another 2 should do it.

18.01.2022 Dead tree fell over. Half an hour later, after chain sawing and splitting, loaded onto the carryall, and now on our front verandah. Waste not / want not.....

18.01.2022 New toy arrived 09.30pm last night. Spent the day prepping it for use. Then onto stick raking and grading.

13.01.2022 South paddock all slashed. Tried to do the fire break next to the bush too but had to give it a miss... too wet and nearly got bogged twice.

12.01.2022 The massive leaner is down. Thank you to Jake Harris from Wandin Tree Service for your assistance. The saw he is using is the Stihl MS500i, the world's first fu...el injected chainsaw. No choke or carby. Just prime, tap in the compression button, and pull the cord! Jake is running a 25" bar and 3/8 full chisel skip tooth chain. He knows of tree guys using up to 32" bars on the unit, without any issues. Very impressive! Standard 20" bar unit retails for $1900.00. Actually the same size as my own Stihl Magnum...... See more

10.01.2022 And one more massive tree down. Taken out the paddock T corner fencing with 2 other neighbours.

05.01.2022 Tree all cut up to length. Out of fuel.... not my chainsaws, but me personally. Rounds to be split another day. Time for lunch....
