12.01.2022 I finally got my hands on @countrystylemag so that I could read about our amazing local Tamworth superstar Holly from @holly_thegoodgiftco !! Absolutely loved reading the article & the stunning photography of Holly & her family on their property just outside of Tamworth. Holly is not only a success in her own business (which has taken lots of hard work whilst also being a Mum to her young boys), she is such such a huge support to other regional small businesses. During COVID ...lockdown earlier this year when we were all closed & worried (as were all Australians), Holly organized a ‘Virtual Mothers Day Market’ where many regional small businesses had the opportunity to sell our products online & connect with our customers & other small businesses. She gave her time to benefit all of us & asked nothing in return. Total respect right there. And that wasn’t a one off, she continues to do these things because that’s the type of person she is. 11.01.2022 1 year ago today we opened the doors to Bungalow G for the very first time . It has been a year of highs & lows, hard work, excitement, anxiety, moments of self belief & many moments of self doubt. It’s such a rollercoaster ride starting your own business, let alone opening just before a global pandemic hits . I have been asked several times today ‘are you proud of yourself? ’ & I never usually say this, but I actually am. I was scared & I didn’t have a clue what I was doi...ng (probably still don’t ) & some days i felt overwhelmed & wanted to give up but I didn’t. I’ve discovered that some of the best & most rewarding things in life are the things that scare you the most, if you can just push yourself to take that first step. I couldn’t have done it without my close inner circle of friends & family who have supported us throughout this first year in so many ways. We can’t thank you enough..you know who you are! But most of all, (& I know he’s going to hate this but I’m doing it anyway), I could not have realized this dream without my amazing husband, who constantly works so hard to help me in my business & continues to support & believe in me every day. He always says to me ‘we are a team’ & that’s so true, in every aspect of our lives. We always have each other’s backs & more than anything we are there for each other unconditionally through good & bad times . And to our beautiful kids who we love so much, thank you for your help & your patience. I know we work a lot but hopefully you will learn that through hard work & passion & the love of your family, you can achieve your dreams. Thank you to all our lovely customers, suppliers & fellow business owners who have supported us in our first year - we are so grateful ! See more
