20.01.2022 You can help fight for equality of transport access for Doonside. Doonside Train Station continues to be overlooked for a long-promised and much-needed lift to... be installed to allow those that are less mobile to access public transport. Sign the petition and share this post! We need 10,000 signatures to force a debate in the NSW Parliament #givedooniealift

10.01.2022 Here is todays latest frightening news straight from Plume Plotter, as at 8.30 this sunny Sunday morning. This is what you will be breathing in if this goes ahead. HOW CAN THEY EVEN CONSIDER DOING THIS TO US?
10.01.2022 Its going on 4 days now that our dog Jett has been missing! I have checked all local vets, blacktown & hawkesbury pound, RSPCA aswell as local and surrounding s...uburbs, streets and bushland DAILY. Because of his last known location (IGA DOONSIDE) I have come to the belief that somebody has him. PLEASE check your yards, your neighbors yards SOMEBODY has to know something about his whereabouts a large black labrador does not just dissapear. A reward is on offer for any information that leads to his finding NO QUESTIONS ASKED! or please just take him into blacktown pound or local vet. This is not just a dog, he is a part of our family. HE IS microchipped and word spreads fast around these areas which means there is a high probability he will eventually be found, so if you have him or know of anybody who MAY have him please be honest, decent people and hand him in or message me. As i said NO QUESTIONS ASKED. We just want him home! PLEASE SHARE, the more this gets around the better chance we have of bringing Jett home. Who knows where he could be.... See more

06.01.2022 IMPORTANT: SUBMISSIONS DUE WED 1st March 5pm We are asking everyone to put in a submission against the WORLDS LARGEST INCINERATOR FOR EASTERN CREEK. This compan...y even has plans to build a similar Incinerator at Lithgow! Toxic emissions will affect all residents from Bondi to the Blue Mountains.Prospect Reseviour is 5km from the site and forms part of Sydney's water supply for 4.5 million people. http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl Information to make a submission here: https://www.facebook.com/events/410309249301912/ Make sure you select "I OBJECT" from the online submission form. BRAINSTORMING STARTERS, SEE BELOW! For each submission to be "counted" they must be in your own words. We have made a list below of points that you too may consider important. You can choose any or all of these as a starting point to elaborate on & write about in your submission. * Reduced air quality & toxic particles in the air we breathe, causing more health problems than we accurately foresee. Some of the particles will be so small that there is no technology for measuring them but you will certainly be able to breathe them in. * We already have the worst air quality in Sydney & days where the EPA warns people with respiratory problems to stay inside. Imagine the addition of the worlds largest incinerator, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week would do. * Pollution of Prospect Reservoir major catchment for Sydney’s drinking water. * The proponent (company putting proposal forward) has a long list & history of EPA breaches & we believe that he/they cannot be trusted to do the right thing by the community or the environment. * The proponent, in their application/amended EIS statement, has stated "The proposed Facility may release substances to atmosphere which have the potential to harm human health" That in itself should be enough to deny it! * The areas most drastically affected by this are also the ones that are densely populated residential areas, full of young families, schools, kindies, sporting fields, aged care facilities. We have many tips, waste transfer stations, etc, our health cannot take any more. WE MATTER TOO! * Incinerators & their technology are being phased out in Europe This is NOT the way forward, nor is it clean or green! * It will also be in the middle of a major industrial area, where thousands of people spend their working lives. * The Incinerators will be visible from Erskine Park which will decrease property values.
05.01.2022 Computer Skills for Further Study or Employment Please see the attached flyer. Although the application and information session is today, enrolment will extend for a little while; please contact Carol if you are interested.
01.01.2022 How do we get Blacktown and Penrith councils to do something like this ? Would make a great difference to the spaghetti mess we have at present in Western Sydney.
