25.01.2022 The Bungendore Scouts Gunfire Breakfast is back for 2021. Bungendore Scouts will be hosting the ANZAC Day Gunfire breakfast once again and all profits from the event will be donated to veterans charities. Breakfast will once again be $8 for eggs, bacon, beans, Tea/Coffee/Milo etc. There are a few changes this year... - It will be in the new Scout Hall - We will be accepting pre-orders via our website - We will be accepting (and prefer) card payments on the day if you haven’t pre-ordered Breakfast will start about 15 mins after the dawn service and the kitchen will close after 90 mins or when the food is gone, whichever comes first. To book your breakfast in advance, head over to www.bungendorescouts.org.au. Advance booking gets you a guaranteed meal and priority service. You will also be able to order and pay on the day but the line will probably be longer and once the food is gone, it’s all over. Seating will be available at the hall, however we can only have 80 people at a time in the hall. To assist with this we will also set up seating outside. Everyone will need to sign in using the Service NSW COVID Safe codes that will be posted up at the hall. There will be no paper sign in. If you don’t sign in we will have to turn you away, this is a legal requirement. The Scout Hall Carpark will be closed during the event. In the event that ANZAC Day ceremonies are cancelled, full refunds will be provided.

23.01.2022 Don't forget you can hire the Bungendore Scout Hall for your end of year and family events. After receiving feedback from the community we have adjusted our security deposits to make it even easier. The hall is a great value option for your event with commercial quality kitchens, a huge stainless steel BBQ, various options for AV and music, and an amazing outdoor space to go with the large and flexible indoor spaces.... Book now at http://bungendorescouts.org.au/hall-bookings/

14.01.2022 Last week we were privileged to have the opportunity to install this cracker of a system at the scout hall in Bungendore. This hall will be used as a emergency ...evacuation centre if needed. The system consists of a 6kW SolarEdge Backup inverter and a massive 12.6kW array using SolarEdge 360W panels. As well 2 x 10kwh LG Chem lithium batteries. Many thanks to our highly skilled crew. Connor Dallas ,Hayden Van Dan Heuval, Isaac Shaanos, Morgan Fitzgerald. See more

11.01.2022 Some parts of our website may look a little broken or different over the next few days. We have just run an update and are working on ironing the bugs out, which has to happen in our spare time outside our normal jobs and our youth activities. If you can't find something you need, please hit us up in messenger.

08.01.2022 From Monday the changes in COVID-19 restrictions mean the capacity of our hall has doubled, so we can take bookings for larger events. Our Main Hall now has a capacity of 84 people and the Community Hall can take 32 people. Don't forget we also have multiple size screens/projectors and speakers to meet all your entertainment/presentation needs as well as a shiny new commercial quality BBQ.... You can get more details and book at http://bungendorescouts.org.au/hall-bookings/ PS - It also means we will be able to start accepting more youth members when we come back in 2021. If your kids are keen to give scouts a try, like our page and watch out for more information.

04.01.2022 Well Scouting in 2020 was a challenge, but we have improvised, adapted and overcome. It’s 2021 and we are gearing up for a monster year, with a new hall and restrictions lifted to the point that we can take full advantage of it. As we prepare for 2021 and begin the final stages of our planning, we want to hear from you if you have kids that want to give scouting a go. This year is shaping up to be a monster year as we are all keen to get back into camping, hiking and all the... activities we couldn’t do in 2020. We also have Australian Jamboree 2022 in January 2022 for the Scouts, with the Venturers and Rovers able to come along and support the event. We have heaps of room in the 11-14 (Scout) and 15-18 (Venturer) sections. So if you or your youth are in those age groups, please get in contact via messenger or email and we will get you all sorted out for when we come back in Feb. Our younger sections, 5-8 (Joeys) and 8-10 (Cubs), are reaching capacity, but if you are keen to get into the action let us know and we will see what we can do. It might mean putting you on a waitlist for a short period, but we will get you involved as soon as we can. We also have a Rover unit forming up at the moment. Rovers is for young adults 18-25 and they are meeting fortnightly with meetings alternating between Bungendore and Jerrabomberra. Get in contact with us if you are keen to check them out and we will sort you out with the appropriate details. Now for the boring but helpful bits: - Scouts is registered for the active kids rebate and this can be used to reduce your fees. - The group offers sponsored positions for youth that would be unable to take part due to financial difficulties. To discuss please send an email to [email protected] and our group leadership will get in contact with you. All discussions are confidential and only handled by the group leadership team.
