25.01.2022 Our wonderful ATSO is moving away, so we need someone to fill her shoes, starting at the commencement of term 3. If you enjoy helping people and working with young people with disabilities this could be the position for you! We are looking for someone to be an Assisted Travel Support Officer on one of our school runs from Bungendore into the ACT. The position is open from term 3, 2019 for the duration of the school year, with the option to extend employment into 2020. The ho...urs are approximately 07:55 to 09:40 then again in the afternoon from 13:45 to 15:30 during school term time. You will need a Working With Children Check and need to fulfill the requirements of the NSW Department of Education by whom you will be employed. The hourly rate is upwards of $22 and comes with all the benefits of a permanent position. We are happy to guide the successful applicant through the screening process and provide a friendly work environment. Previous experience working with young people with severe autism would be ideal, however applications are most welcome if you consider you have the right attributes to support students with disabilities. 18.01.2022 With the relaxation of COVID 19 restrictions in NSW we will be resuming transport services for the general public from Monday, May 4th. Initially we will be offering a booked car service, so please be aware the taxi will not be on standby and may not be available at short notice. Rigorous cleaning and sanitising of the cars will continue for the forseeable future, and for the time being passengers will be asked to sit in the back seat. 17.01.2022 In spite of implementing a rigorous cleaning and sanitising regime after each passenger, the threat of spreading Covid 19 virus within the confines of a vehicle is very real. For this reason, and with the prospect of stricter lockdown measures in the face of increasing infection, we have made the decision to withdraw our service from the public at large. We will continue to provide a service for DVA patients while they continue to attend medical appointments until such time ...they cease. When we return when the all clear is given, I will post news of our new vehicles which some of you may have seen around town already!
