22.01.2022 Buninyong and the old Brewery now have a new threat. Council plans to remove all the trees on the dam wall between the lake and the Botanic Gardens. Currently it's much-needed habitat for birds, frogs etc. It's also a beautiful area, much loved by residents and visitors, dog walkers and fishers. 22.01.2022 This will be a fun party at the Brewery. Lots of stalls, activities for children, live music, BBQ etc. The Choral Society is raising funds to sing in Austria with Mario Dobernig in 2021. Everyone is welcome!

07.01.2022 This page isn't getting much attention as I've been working on the Art Meets Nature exhibition at the beautiful Lucy McEachern Gallery, 984 Wingeel Rd, Wingeel. (near Inverleigh, but Google it!). Exhibition closes 5pm Sunday 25 Nov. Artists talks 2pm Sat 24 Nov (Rosalind Lawson - on handmade paper sculpture) & Sun 25 Nov (Lyn Dickson - fibre / textile artist), then Curator Merle Hathaway - a walk & talk through the show. Exhibition closes Sunday 25 Nov @ 5pm. Worth the drive!

07.01.2022 Enthusiastic apiarist, Paul, helped install the new bees which are now happily buzzing around. A little bunch of bees had trouble finding the differently positioned door and had to be helped in with gum leaf lifts next morning.

06.01.2022 Tonight the luscious voice of Vickie-Maree Barnet in a range of sexy blues, soul, jazz numbers at The Brewery. Moonshine Blues is great - Phil Langdon on guitar, Rob Wilmot on piano. It’s a terrific trio.

03.01.2022 At last, another concert at the Brewery! Harken Well present 'Violino Italiano' 3pm, Sunday 25 August. Laura Moore - viola da gamba, Lizzy Welsh - baroque violin, are joined by Joy Lee - harpsichord & Nick Pollock - theorbo. Early 17c Italian works - so rare to hear in Ballarat.

03.01.2022 The weather was perfect for the Ballarat Choral Society’s Garden Party. Lots came & we had stalls, children’s activities & music all afternoon. Thanks everyone for helping us raise funds to get the Choir to Austria to sing in 2021.
