10.01.2022 Last week Directors Ian Corcoran and Steve Falconer visited the new Bendigo Bank Tissue Bank and saw first hand the integral work being undertaken here in Ballarat. The relocated Tissue Bank can now accommodate more than 23,000 tissue samples and was officially opened at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Centre on Friday (masks and all). The project was funded by the Buninyong, Creswick, Beaufort and Ballan Community Banks to the total of $110,000. #communityinvestment #buninyongbank Win News link https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=321579515543541

08.01.2022 For the 5th year running, we are collecting toys and non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal. The toys and food items can be dropped off at the bank up until Monday 14th December for collection Tuesday morning 15th December. The presents and food items will be distributed to local children and families by The Salvation Army in time for Christmas. 2020 has been a difficult year for communities across Australia. And as Christmas approaches it is... becoming increasingly clear that many Australians are going to struggle to have even a modest celebration. We all know Christmas is a time for joy. But for those doing it tough it is often challenging, heartbreaking and isolating. Every Christmas, The Salvation Army provides around 160,000 meals and over 64,000 hampers and vouchers to individuals and families in need. As COVID-19 continues to impact individuals, families and communities across the country, your support now is more important than ever. By donating food or gifts, you can help us make sure we leave no one in need this festive season. from https://www.salvationarmy.org.au//giv/host-food-toy-drive/ See more
