17.01.2022 Ballarat Community Alliance wants want as many people to get involved with the local election as possible. "Over the past month Ballarat citizens from all different groups have got together to form an organisation of organisations to make sure a progressive and inclusive agenda for Ballarat is given centre stage during the local council election. The Ballarat Community Alliance is non-partisan and will help bring out positive change by harnessing civil society. The first step... for this change is understanding the City of Ballarat stands on the Traditional Lands of the Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung Peoples and that sovereignty was never ceded. Today we are officially launching the Ballarat Community Alliance along with video featuring the voices of community leaders including Sissy Austin, Bobby Mehta, Matt Briody, Hazel Lanyon, Sally Missing, John Weber, Katja Simão, Neil Huybregts, Lucy Bracey which features the design of Travis Price. Soon we will be conducting questionnaires and candidate forums. We want as many people to get involved with the local election as possible."
