16.01.2022 On Monday the 31st of August, Aaron Davis and the team at Buninyong Hair & Beauty were fortunate enough to have the Matrix Community playground presented by Mat Johnson in our salon!! Mat Johnson and some of the best international hair stylists, supported by the H.O.T team members, Michael Turner and Steph Meyer came to our salon with 10 hair models. Ready to let their creativity run wild, they started producing the latest trends. They coloured, cut and styled models with di...fferent, unique techniques. It was a great pleasure to work alongside these talented Hairdressers. Seeing and being involved in all the looks being prepared step by step, then being able to see the models final look come together on stage was truly inspiring, something we won't forget!!! A big Thank-you to Hayley Pullyn, Laura-Kate Millership, Paul Smedley, Sam Stevens and Katie Standen!

16.01.2022 Client brief: This client loved her hair colour but wanted to blend in her natural regrowth without loosing the beautiful warmth it radiated. She also wanted to add some extra highlights. Technique: We Color matched the clients natural colour and used this as a lowlight through the mids and ends being careful not to touch the regrowth area. We then used some babylights and softly feathered them up into the regrowth area (placing them slightly higher towards the face) to crea...te a natural highlighting effect. Finished off with a natural beige toner, a Keratin treatment and a trim. Result: A warm honey, beige and caramel blonde with a glistening rose undertone Oh and perfectly blended regrowth See more

10.01.2022 A gorgeous client of ours Erin had a big change on Tuesday! She decided she wanted to cut her hair off, but she wanted to do it for a purpose so she did a beautiful deed by donating her long luscious hair to the charity Wigs for Kids to help kids with cancer. It was her first hair cut, she had been growing her hair for sixteen years. It was more then a pleasure to do this cut knowing it was for such a great cause, such a brave girl. Styled by Chloe

08.01.2022 Covid-19 Update Under new government regulations starting tonight Buninyong Hair and Beauty will remain OPEN (for Hairdressing services ONLY) with a few changes to the way we operate. We will be reducing our hours over the next 6 weeks to accommodate our family home schooling needs, and to create extended 'out of' school appointment times. We will post our temporary trading hours very soon, please note all pre booked appointments will still go ahead as scheduled regardless of... if they fall out of the new hours. We have a HUGE salon and you will be relieved to know that we will only be taking 2 clients at any given time. This means you will have 1/2 a salon to yourself!! Though please bring a book or mag as unfortunately we cant supply any magazines at this time as they have been removed to prevent contact spreading. We will closely monitor cases in our area and if we feel we cannot operate without risk we will close until further notice. For now we have the highest priority in cleaning and sanitization -Every surface will be cleaned after each client with Vera-Clean (A product that has been proven to kill the virus on contact) -All brushes, combs, clips, clippers, scissors etc. will also be clean and sterilized after every use. -Capes and towels are washed after each and every client on a hot cycle. -We are using disposable coffee cups. -We have sanitizer to use upon entry as well as at every single station. -Masks are mandatory throughout all services, We have free disposable masks for you to use so you don't have to worry about your mask getting coloured or wet. We have been working with masks for a little while now and I can guarantee they don't get in the way! -Clean, one time use gloves are worn through all services -We are keeping a contact tracing register as required by state government. If you or a member of your family is feeling unwell at the time of your appointment please call us on 53013008 or inbox our page to reschedule your appoint. We have NO cancelation Fee! 06.01.2022 Client brief: Lighten up regrowth and create a natural all over blonde. Also eliminate greening of ends that was left over from a home fun high fashion colour. Technique: Full head of highlights and 2 different shades of lowlights. We only highlighted the regrowth area with a fine weave so to not cause any damage. ... The First lowlight was used to help blend through the regrowth using a slightly warmer shade on mids and ends only. The Second lowlight was a cooler shade to help cool down the overall look. A pearl toner was used at the basin to tie the whole look together followed by a colour last treatment to keep the longevity of the colour. The result: A beautiful, natural blonde that is fluent from roots to ends. See more
