15.01.2022 Hello! Just a couple of things- you may have all surmised this anyway, but the long anticipated reopening of the op-shop will have to be put off for a while longer due to the return of stage three restrictions tonight. Alas. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. And, a reminder about Ordinary Time tomorrow morning at 11:30. ... Here is the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88258437974 Join in for some catching up, don't be afraid to bring along what whatever it is that you're doing, and carry on while we all have a chat. Keep taking care, Carlynne

14.01.2022 Hello! Here is the link to your worship resources for this week. We think about whether we're willing to risk living our lives, and what we risk when we read scripture.

14.01.2022 A little reminder about upcoming worship plans, and in addition a blessing which shows itself to us very appropriately as we draw excitedly close to the end of our long time apart and move into the long and joyful anticipation of Advent: Blessing for Waking, Jan Richardson... This blessing could pound on your door in the middle of the night. This blessing could band on your window, could tap dance in your hall, could set a dog loose in your room. It could hire a brass band to play outside your house. But what this blessing really wants is not merely your waking but your company. This blessing wants to sit alongside you and keep vigil with you. This blessing wishes to wait with you. And so, though it is capable of causing a cacophony that could raise the dead, this blessing will simply lean toward you and sing quietly in your ear a song to lull you not into sleep but into waking. It will tell you stories that hold you breathless till the end. It will ask you questions you never considered and have you tell it what you saw in your dreaming. This blessing will do all within its power to entice you into awareness because it wants to be there, to bear witness, to see the look in your eyes on the day when your vigil is complete and all your waiting has come to its joyous end.

08.01.2022 Here are the bits and pieces for at home worship this week, including an optional (but very warmly recommended!) and slightly long conversation with an old teacher about the OT passage for the week. May you all worship in Spirit and truth.

06.01.2022 A wee update about at-church-worship:

06.01.2022 Here is what I accomplished during our first ever Ordinary Time this morning. What would you like to do while chatting with your community? Join us next Thursday at 11:30 and give it a go!

05.01.2022 Worship this Sunday takes us into some controversy- did Jesus really say something awful to a woman? Can we deal with that? And, did Jesus really talk about ? We find out. This week's resources include another chat with an old teacher of mine, Cuddly Jesus, and liberal use of the P word.

04.01.2022 This weekend we are joined by Mount Martha Uniting Church and are going to worship through the eating of a meal! Join us as we wonder about Jesus, the bread of life.

02.01.2022 Ordinary Time today at 11:30! Time to chat, to do some stuff around the house or engage in some light hobbying, or to do all three at once. Be there! https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88258437974

02.01.2022 Hi all! Just a reminder that this morning at 11:30 we will gather on Zoom for a cup of tea, a catch up and maybe some time working on... something. I'm thinking of baking bread today (!!) so if anyone wanted to join me in that sort of endeavour I would enjoy the solidarity. See you then!

01.01.2022 Hello all, here is the link to your home worship bits and pieces this week. I'll attach a pic of the Van Gogh painting I mention in the reflection to this post. May your worship be joyful, meandering and meaningful.

01.01.2022 Hi all, This all feels a little familiar doesn't it? I don't know how you are going today; some of you might feel like your routine won't be that changed by the second lockdown. ... Some may feel worried about friends and family in Melbourne, and a keen awareness of your separation from them. Some may feel worried, some capable, some sad. And we all may at some point over the next six weeks feel a little of the heaviness that seems to hang over us all at this time in our lives. Here is a blessing for you all, however you find yourselves this morning and this week: In darkness, may you remember what the sun felt like on your skin In loss, may you find space to mourn and capacity to bear that which seems unbearable. In quiet moments, may there be soul-deep calm and the remembering of what is Good. In confusion, may there be deep, belly full breaths and the knowledge of your own capacity. In doubt, may there be the open sky ready to hold your questions and your fears. In anger, may you feel yourself moved to Kingdom action. In repetition and numbness, may you stumble into surprising joy. In times you feel you have to keep your chin up, may there be the gift of tears, and of dancing in the kitchen. May you feel all you need, may you have the gift of language where it's needed and silence where it's not, may you lament as loudly as you feel is right, may you know yourself accompanied by peace, purpose, presence. Amen. I'll talk to you soon, keep safe, keep loving one another, God be with you all. Carlynne
