23.01.2022 We have had some strange moments at BUNK over the years....and especially the last few months....but yesterday was the first time we have had to evict a pigeon... Happy to report that Hoff was able to remove the bird without injury to either the pigeon or himself. If you are wondering whether or not this is the first time we have had to evict a bird from the property....the answer is no. Here is a young and VERY fashion conscious Tommy 6 years ago, with a chicken that we evi...cted from a foam party. And yes....that is 100% an accurate statement. It laid an egg under the manager's desk.

Here are a couple of ways you can help. ... IF YOU ARE IN BRISBANE BUNK is a designated drop off point for donations of non perishable FOOD and WATER. If you have stayed at BUNK either in Brisbane or BUNK Surfers over the last 5 years you might remember our very own Big Daddy Dunc. Like many in Australia, his home town has been under attack from the wild fires and, along with a few youth tourism legends he is doing a drive all the way down there with supplies to help his community on Saturday 11th. If you have any canned food or bottled water you would like to donate, whether you stay here or not please drop it to BUNK reception and we will make sure it gets to where it needs to be. IF YOU HAVE LEFT BRISBANE Our friends at Welcome To Travel have started a fundraising page for the Youth Tourism Industry to contribute. These photos (added by WildAnimals Australia) vividly show the horrific circumstances of w...hats happening on the Australian East Coast. Not only are people losing their lives and homes, our native animals are too. Here is what you can do: The fire brigade are out there 24/7 battling the fires under extreme pressure and putting themselves in danger. They are trying to save lives and homes. They need all the help they can get. This is the one of the worst areas thats been affected.
