23.01.2022 "Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim." - Vicki Harrison We know that each person journeys through grief in their own way, and at times, even the most simple things can seem overwhelming. During this time we encourage you to take the time you need to slow down, reflect and care for yourself and your emotional wellbeing.

22.01.2022 I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light. - Helen Keller Today on International Day of Friendship, we celebrate our closest and dearest friends. Those who are there for us during the darkest moments in our lives, who pick us up when we fall, offer a shoulder to cry on and make us laugh when we thought that might never be possible again. Even though we can't be physically close to our friends during this time, we can still encourage them, and let them know we care and are still here for them. Check-in with your friends and let them know you're thinking of them today.

22.01.2022 As we welcome in a new year and the opportunities that 2021 may bring, we also pause and take a moment to reflect upon the past year. We can all agree that 2020 was not what we expected nor what we had planned for, but there were many lessons that we can take with us into our next phase of life. The importance of loved ones and the joy that can come from slowing down. New ways to connect or even finding ways of adapting through unpredictable circumstances. ... What is something you’ve learnt from the past year that you’ll be bringing with you into 2021?

19.01.2022 Grief can be a lonely road and its so much better when there is someone there to comfort. If you think a friend is going through a challenging time, give them a call. Send them a note. Just let them know that youre there, youre thinking of them and they are not alone, wherever you both may be. Today on Best Friends Day, we reflect on the friendships of those who have kept us going, encouraged us, supported us, or just sat with us when we needed a friend.

Sharing a smile when you pass someone could brighten their day. It could help them to connect again and see the kindness in the world. That’s what the festive season is really about.
