14.01.2022 Please vote and share! I am very excited to announce that I have been selected as a finalist for Westfield Innaloo's 2020 Westfield Local Heroes. There are 6 fi...nalists for this centre, with the three finalists with the most votes being awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation. Please click on the link to vote! https://www.westfield.com.au//4BJvCIjMU4/local-heroes-2020 My nomination came because of my work with the Western Australian Powerchair Football Association - WAPFA. If I am successful, WAPFA will be able to use the $10,000 grant to assist in purchasing a Strikeforce (or a specialised sports power wheelchair) to build our league and introduce new players to the sport. At a time when our player base has been decimated, this could not have come at a better time. Having a spare Strikeforce will enable the WA powerchair football league to grow and provide even more opportunities for new players to grow to love the sport, just as I have. Please vote, share, comment and like so this can be seen by as many people as possible! Thank you in advance for your support!

12.01.2022 I have had the absolute pleasure and honour to lead Burbridge School for the past two years but from 2021 will return to my substantive role as Deputy Principal at Burbridge School. I sincerely thank each family and our large extended Burbridge community for your wonderful support for myself as Principal and our school over the past two years. I very much look forward to continuing to work with our students, families and the totally amazing wider Burbridge school community... in 2021. The process to select a new permanent School Principal has been completed and Joanne Gordon will commence in 2021 as Burbridge's new permanent Principal. Joanne has been Principal at West Coast Secondary ESC for a number of years and has previously worked at Burbridge School in many capacities, so comes with a great understanding of our school. The journey for me as Principal has had so many highlights. 2019 was our 40th birthday celebration which we got to share with everyone, the massive school repaint and the new carpark! 2020 has been an interesting adventure for us all with so many unknowns and changes to factor into every day. I am especially proud of how our school community has come together and supported each other in so many ways from sharing parenting experiences at morning teas to celebrating the many special festivals of our wonderfully diverse community. My genuine thanks to every Burbridge staff member and every parent and every community member that has worked alongside us to ensure success for all. I am confident and proud that as we move forward our school vision will be achieved every day for our students because of the large, passionate and supportive community Burbridge is. ~~~To inspire a meaningful and positive future.~~ Thank You Kym Crawford Principal Burbridge School December 9 2020
