18.01.2022 "Speak in such a way that others like to listen to you. Listen in such a way that others like to speak to you." I heard this quote at a Toastmasters meeting and... know that this is what Toastmasters can do for all of us. Develop your communication skills by improving your speaking and listening. See more

17.01.2022 Today marks a special occasion for Burdekin Toastmasters. Not many clubs achieve 45 years longevity, but Burdekin Toastmasters have stood the test of time. In addition to that, there is at least one charter member still involved. Phillip Scuderi has achieved 45 years of membership. Phillip has served Northern Division and Burdekin club well as a past Area and Division Director.

06.01.2022 How many clubs last 45 years and still retain one of the charter members? Tonight Burdekin Toastmasters celebrated these two milestones. We welcomed two past International Presidents, five past District Governors / Directors, the current District Director, the District Director elect for 2020/21, the District historian and many more guests from across the district. Of course, we should not forget our current members who will keep the flag flying for Burdekin club. Incoming cl...ub president, Des Fazldeen keep the meeting flowing. International president Deepak Menon was there in spirit and his congratulatory message was read. Phillip Scuderi is a loyal and active member of Burdekin Toastmasters and his son, Leonard produced a fascinating photo presentation of celebrations going right back to the charter dinner. A great achievement for Burdekin club and Phillip. See more
