24.01.2022 Weve just finished a mammoth day, and I just have a few words to share.... TL;DR - Seriously, thank you. After such a massive day, my first thought is Damn, I hope we got all those orders right (because we dont always!) but tonight my second though was one of extreme gratitude.... Ive been in the hospitality business for over 30 years, and COVID-19 is by far the most challenging impact the industry has ever faced. Im lucky enough to have a core team of amazing staff who constantly have my back, who work tirelessly, and never complain. They do long hours, and most importantly, they care. They really care about your experience. We also have the most amazing customers. Some of you drive from a long way away for your fix, and some of you live right next door. Sometimes we cant get to the phone, sometimes the wait is a little long (tonight it hit 30 minutes), but through it all, you have supported us tremendously. Youve shown that youre happy to wait, that were worth it. Were not out of this yet, but Im confident that well be one of the lucky ones. For that, thank you. Hey there burger Fam, a lot of you have been asking for delivery during COVID and we understand. If youve been with us for a while, youll know we had a dismal run with another delivery platform, over a year ago. Were giving this another go, with Door Dash, this week. Please note, delivery platforms take an eye watering commission. The commission is far and a...way higher than the profit margins that exist in any hospitality business model. Weve included 100% of the commissions in the delivery pricing. That means that youll be able to get Burger Hounds delivered, but at a cost. We want you to know that we dont get a single cent more than we do for in house orders. But in all fairness, were also not taking any less. So enjoy the wine, or relax in your PJs, the burgers can come to you. For now. Were doing a very soft trial, this Thursday evening. What we dont want, is to discover that taking on deliveries means that the in house service and wait times become unmanageable. For the next couple weeks, well likely just run the delivery service option on Thursday nights, and see how we go. As always, thanks for all the burger love, its eternally humbling. -The Hound
