25.01.2022 While in Tathra we took a drive down to Kianinny boat ramp in hope to see some giant stingrays. We had heard that there were a few resident rays that feed off the scraps from the local fishermen. They were enormous and well trained! Can't really get a true perspective on size here in the pic but they were impressive! Well worth a visit....we were there watching these majestic creatures for ages! 21.01.2022 We have been slowly making our way up the NSW coast. I'm a bit behind on my posts because we have been busy surfing, chilling and soaking up the last few weeks of our lap. We pulled into Lake Conjola for a night and the damage from the fires was so sad....incredible anything was still standing . Kiama was an absolute gem and we loved it! The blowholes were impressive the views of rolling green hills and blue oceans was spectacular and the surf reserve was a win. This place is on the list to revisit. 20.01.2022 Next stop....and oh so close to home! We are nearly in our old stomping ground now. Its feels familiar and somewhat surreal.... We love Crescent and its chilled boho vibe. The caravan park is situated perfectly between river or ocean sites and theres nothing better than sitting on the rise watching the sun set and the diehard surfers riding waves as the last light lingers. The cliff walk is nothing short of breathtaking and this time of year rewards you with multiple whale s...ightings ! 19.01.2022 Minnamurra Falls was a great waterfall walk. So nice to do a beautiful rainforest trek again...its been a while! The air was cold and crisp and the incline got the blood pumping! 17.01.2022 Catch up post.... We decide to swerve Sydney and continue driving further north.... I did however manage to sweet talk Stephen into driving thru Sydney to get that perfect insta shot going over the Sydney harbour bridge on sunset. BUT my navigation skills failed us and a wrong turn saw us going 'UNDER' and not 'OVER' the harbour....a long detour to see a tunnel . We spent a couple of days exploring Newcastle and the surrounding beaches. Merewether was a highlight with s...ome beautiful heritage houses and pretty ocean scapes. From Newcastle we had a brief overnight in Boomerang beach. Stunning seaside town with some great surf beaches. 16.01.2022 We cruised up the coast to Bermagui...a small seaside town with a really cool vibe. Pretty sure we jagged the best site (site 188) at the caravan park with sweeping views across the bay with Mt Gulaga in the distance. Would have loved to have hiked the mountain but we didnt think little miss would have made it so that has gone on the to do list! Theres a couple of great surf breaks and national parks around....we had a whole day driving around and exploring. Also took a drive up to the small historical town of Tilba Tilba which was like stepping back in time!! 16.01.2022 Well it's been pretty awesome to be back by the ocean on the east coast. What a bloody mammoth drive that was....Busselton - Pambula. We have spent the last few weeks chilling and exploring the small beachside towns up the coast. These pics were snapped in spots from Eden up to Tathra. A really pretty part of the world! It was bloody chilly but the boys managed to squeeze a surf in at the river mouth in Merimbula....brrrrrr. We had a cracking meal at the Tathra hotel what an ...amazing view....the sunset was nek level while we were there! The whale museum in Eden was pretty impressive and the kids enjoyed learning about old Tom! We ate oysters almost every day and MAN they were some of the best oysters we have eaten!!! Throw some good coffee, beach walks and skate parks in and that's pretty much what we've been up to!
