11.01.2022 ~Kids in the kitchen ~ Some shriek at the idea, but I think its an essential life skill to share with our youngsters. Sure it can be messy, they drop things, they make crazy creations & don't really like cleaning up...but it's a great chance to teach about nutrition & healthy options along with building a healthy relationship with food.Our big girl cooks dinner almost every Monday night. She plans the meals, sorts the ingredients, preps and cooks (with assistance). It means Mum and Dad have the night off cooking & our daughter gets to enjoy the fruits of her labour. I reminding her to "fill your tummy with the food, fill your soul with the cooking".
